The Murder Capital will play I think

Yeah be disappointed if they don't...late night big top or early evening garden?

Meg Baird and Hotel Lux both got albums out and would fit well.

Hopefully loads of stuff I've never heard of too , there's some very tired looking Festival line ups knocking about elsewhere

I don’t know about anyone else, but waiting for the lineup is like Christmas Eve for me.

If we could get some of the following, that would be lovely:

Boygenius, Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten, The Murder Capital, Ezra Furman, Ethel Cain, Julia Jacklin, Alvvays, Waxahatchee, Monophonics, Art School Girlfriend, Rosie H Sullivan, Future Islands, Beach Bunny, Big Thief.

I get that some are far more likely than others.

Hopíngfor a bit more diversity than that to be honest.

"I'm hoping for something that appeals to my 'more sophisticated that yours' musical palate to be honest." 😂

This is not fair at all Nd not remotely my intention. It's just that most of those listed are of a similar style/genre without much of the international music/jazz/electronic stuff and I hope the line up remains fairly diverse. I like quite a few of those names listed and have been championing SVE as a headliner for months. I think it's fair to state that I hope the line up contains a wider range of styles and music than those listed but understand kempleton's point that most of those are discovered by then after the line up drops.

Apologies @Kempletonfor any unintended offence caused.

No problem @Guy Incognito. I knew what you meant.

This is tricky.  I really appreciate you knowledge and steer on what is and is not likely.  The problem, hopefully without treading on toes, is that as people are expressing their 'wish' in this thread but it generally gets snuffed out quickly and efficiently with reality.  In this case it's your hope for something more diverse, in lots of cases an act is destined for greenman, or else something is too big, played to recently etc.  There's little pandering to the idea of wishes or fantasy in the wishlist tread.  I'd rather know something is likely or unlikely - but sometimes a little more detail than just 'greenman I reckon' - why do you reckon that (and I know the answer is almost always going to be that they played suchandsuch last year, or they're free a week earlier but not a week later) - would be nice.

I'm teasing. I'm sure we're all united in our desire for a mixture of stuff we like/know and some new stuff to daunt and excite our ears!

...went to look at her tour dates and nothing booked in for the rest of the year. Nice holibobs over the summer, then back for some festivals (which she didn't do here on last tour) at the end of the year?

Think that with a number of European festivals announcing by now she'd have been named somewhere with her status.

I do think there aren't going to be as many big name international artists as people are assuming/used to this year, partly for financial reasons, partly because it seems difficult for them to get enough other gigs to make the journey worthwhile, and then factor in things like the problems with visas for African acts last year. Even with Angel Olsen it might be she's popping in to play two big paying European festivals and going straight back. Look at Manchester Psych Fest - a number of great overseas acts last year many of which also played EOTR, none this year.
