Big Thief are back in UK and Europe in April, which raises the possibility of them coming back at the end of summer.

Potentially yeah, also no Bristol date and they always seem to swing by Bristol (though the Cardiff date makes up for that I guess)

OT, but this just reminded me that something caused me to look up the 2016 splits recently and I was amused to realise that the three Tipi opening acts were Julia Jacklin (with Dacus two slots later), Pinegrove and RHAIN (now of Wet Leg), who if they were announced would all now be in the big font size section of the graphic. (The Friday also included Arrows Of Love, whose co-singer Nuha Ruby Ra I'm surprised hasn't played solo yet)

That Julia Jacklin set hit me hard. Hearing "Don't let the kids win" for the first time, tent was reverential.

Sadly having to say goodbye to my trusty campervan. I found this while I was clearing it out to get it ready for sale. This was my fourth End of the Road, but the first in the van. Anybody else remember when tickets were a work of art in themselves? Bringing that back would be on my wishlist I reckon. And Bob Mould.

Love to have proper physical tickets back - good to have the complete set from each trip: ticket, car park ticket and wristband. Ah, the nostalgia of the ticket arriving in the EOTR envelope! If they can still produce a physical car park ticket...

EOTR has been great for seeing US bands I've got into - The New Pornographers, White Denim, The Black Angels. Hope they can keep it going with bands like DC4C and Spoon.

Add Band of Horses to the "have seen at EOTR" list (who would be good to get back). Built to Spill have a great new album and fit this bill too.

Even if they weren't most likely going where the money is I'd think Pavement would be too big.

Why?

EOTR have just had Pixies this year and they're arguably bigger.

Pavement by September 2023 will have lost their reunion clout, they've barely even sold out their reunion UK dates. I don't think they're as massive a booking as people believe and EOTR/Green Man are probably in their ballpark in my eyes.
