Drinky
With the strong dollar, do you think we’ll see fewer American artists on next year’s lineup as they fall out of the festival’s price range? Last year £500k would have been equivalent to $670k, whereas at the low we hit this week that would be down to about $530k. If contracts are written in dollars, it might add another element of risk for the festival.
jannybruck
Don't think it'll make a difference, really. The US artists on the lineup are primarily mid level to headline who'll all be touring and making money elsewhere during their trip to Europe. Stuff like Kendrick coming over for a single show is extremely rare. It's good to remember that Glastonbury pays poorly compared to other festivals regardless of if you're a tiny band or headliner – nobody does it for the fee. MEGATRONICMEATWAGON
If anything I'm expecting more American artists making the trip over. There was a noticeable lack of them on some of the main stages.

st dan
Suppose the majority of the US based acts sandwich Glastonbury around their UK/European tour, so they would still play for the reduced fee is they are around. Although do suspect it will now be more difficult to entice an act over for a one off performance.

Gnomicide
I guess there will be a pay off in that it would be cheaper for them to tour. Equipment, hired hands etc. would cost less to them.
