Another fine mess they’ve got themselves into with no second stage That would be an insanely popular final run and there would be way more people in the arena than the campsite. With 16-18 year old girls? Edit - Also, are people really gonna turn up en masse to see Gallagher playing Oasis tunes again just a couple of years after he toured the hell out of it? I'm not so sure and I didnt even bother seeing him last time. Perhaps if it was an exclusive show Edited September 8, 2023 by Benj

And yes, they would turn up in droves to see LG. He had a ridiculous crowd in 2021. It wouldn’t matter if it was 3 years ago, there’s going to be tens of thousands of first timers and Oasis are universally loved and massive with school leavers. He’s one of the biggest names they could get.

stanh
If they haven't got Olivia booked for next year, they've really fumbled it. What a good album, can only imagine how much better it'll sound live.

I didn’t, well if anything I widened them from 16 year olds to 16-18 year olds. I can see them liking a few oasis numbers but it’s really not anything for them to get slightly excited about. Id suggest someone like Becky Hill could be in the tent at the same time but would then also be told it would be too dangerous! The LG crowd wasn’t even that big in 2021, I saw the start and very end from the left hand side facing the stage (near the FR before going to watch Girl in Read and it was big but in no way as big as the likes as Eminem have had when I’ve been in the same spot (with a second stage alternative) or AM had last year, indeed given no second stage, I’d suggest it was pretty poor Just looked at a vid I took and it was big at the start to be fiar, if not so much by the end, if not a patch on Eminem or AM Again though will people be as keen in 2024 after the extensive touring AND will it get the campers back that were all MIA this year. Personally I don't think so Edited September 8, 2023 by Benj

I’d say judging by that Killers Leeds crowd, probably not. And the point is how much of the younger weekend crowd will really care? Yes they may turn up, it’s not going to get them buying tickets if they didn’t this year…

However, for the Astroworld dates, he had multiple different stages and set ups - festival shows, U.S arena dates and The O2 all had different stage designs; so if he was asked and wanted to return to R&L, I'm sure him and his team will have something different planned from the main bulk of arena and stadium dates. Just depends if he mixes festival dates into this tour, like for the Astroworld rollout. Also, wouldn't really compare U.S floor tickets to the UK, floor standing at The O2 last year was £126 for comparison, American ticket pricing is wildly different to over here. Maybe he will just do his own shows in Europe too... There's a chance he has 2 stages, I think he's gonna stick to his own dates tbh, out of the main acts we've been discussing, I have the most doubt for him. If he did play, think it'd be a heavily altered stage, utilising the main part of the current R&L ones, and then a runway into the crowd - think the stage he's touring America with would logistically not be possible at R&L, and would require the whole main stage set up being changed (overnight) with crowd splits, barriers, possible extra lighting towers etc. Much easier to just do some arena/stadium shows over here instead; or do what he did with Astro, and reduce the production slightly for festivals. Benj
Only just noticed Gallagher was at Boardmasters this year too, so it’s not going to help attract people away from there… here was his Reading crowd at the start for the record, decent. stanh
Tyler was fab at Parklife, left him slightly early to see the end of Bicep - but he put on a great show, and the set list was top tier.
