You’ve practically got a day of it if you fancy going to “15 mins away from Stockport”

Marketing team doing wonders 😂 tbf Blossoms and Shed Seven is decent

I think most of us are thankful that that dream is dead!

They’re vanilla but good fun. The only positive is it probably rules Inhaler out too

I saw inhaler at Life is Beautiful in the US and absolutely amazed myself by thoroughly enjoying them

Again goes to show how much we miss the tent, bands like that are so much more engaging in the dark, with lights etc perking up the show

(would fly over solely for Shed 7 playing in the FR!)

Loads of old gammon boomers in camp chairs, if it’s like usual

(never been so that may be harsh, just based on a few horrific vlogs I’ve seen)

IOW is pretty fun - mixed family crowd but the usual dance headliner means a lot of younger people go too (missing this year)

not too bad for camping chairs i thought, you just walk around them and can easily get a nice spot for everyone

Not much going on the lineup front, so I’m intrigued once again to people’s albums of the years, happy to make a new thread if people don’t wanna clog this one up

for me top 10 right now:

boygenius - The Record

Hozier - Unreal Unearth

Barry Can’t Swim - When Will We Land?

Young Fathers - Heavy Heavy

BCNR - Live at Bush Hall

Grian Chatten - Chaos for the Fly

Lana - DYKTATUOB

Sampha - Lahai

Sundara Karma - Miss Again (don’t judge it’s a great Indie record and hometown bias)

Ryuichi Sakamoto - 12

Jungle, QOTSA, King Krule, O-Rod and Foos albums just outside atm

I'm a massive fan of Shikari and NBT, and a big fan of PtV, but all of those were pretty dissapointing for me and definitely my least favourite albums each have put out.

My top 10 is:

Sleep Token - Take Me Back To Eden

Holding Absence - The Noble Art of Self Destruction (if you like emo/post-hardcore, listen to this!)

Creeper - Sanguivore

Origami Angel - The Brightest Days

Movements - RUCKUS!

boygenius - the record

Demob Happy - Divine Machines

Trophy Eyes - Suicide and Sunshine

Avenged Sevenfold - Life Is But a Dream…

King Nun - Lamb

This is my current Top 10. Tbh I can’t see it changing too much but I expect the Dying Wish album that came out yesterday to crack it:

2. Paramore - This Is Why

3. Avenged Sevenfold - Life Is But A Dream

4. Militarie Gun - Life Under The Gun

5. Sleep Token - Take Me Back To Eden

6. Joey Valence & Brae - Punk Tactics

7. Blink-182 - ONE MORE TIME…

8. Pain of Truth - Not Through Blood

9. Frozen Soul - Glacial Domination

10. Olivia Rodrigo - Guts

I don't have a particular top 10 list but The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess - Chappell Roan deserves a mention

Paint My Bedroom Black - Holly Humberstone and GUTS - Olivia Rodrigo are my most listened to new albums from this year

The Secret to Life - Fizz and History Books - The Gaslight Anthem only came out recently but I've been enjoying them both

If she does, she will be about 4th on a stage. Griff, Joy Crooks, Sigrid, Mabel, Decline Mckenna, Beabadoobee have all played around 4th last 3 years.

So by 4th on a stage you mean 8th or 9th on the day?

No basis for this hunch in the slightest, and the more truncated nature of headline sets in the double main stage era would make it unlikely, even before considering the demographic and the fact they will have already been over two months prior.

But, Foo Fighters. (Must have had some strong cheese before I went to bed last night.)

All My Life
The Pretender
No Son of Mine
Learn to Fly
Rescued
Walk
Times Like These
8 My Hero
The Sky is a Neighborhood
10 Nothing At All
11 This Is a Call
12 Aurora
13 Monkey Wrench
14 Best of You
15 Everlong

I'm 320 albums in to 2023, so my top 10 is f**king wild.

1) Creeper - Sanguivore
2) HMLTD - The Worm
3) Gabriels - Angels & Queens
4) Slow Readers Club - Knowledge Freedom Power
5) Young Fathers - Heavy Heavy
6) 100 gecs - 10,000 gecs
7) Romy - Mid-Air
8 Polaris - Fatalism
9) Beach Fossils - Bunny
10) Iggy Pop - Every Loser

Really wanted to include Fireworks, Chemical Brothers, Sleep Token, Skindred, Olivia Rodrigo, Story of the Year, Babymetal, Enter Shikari, Overmono and countless others. What a year.
