Questions for a newbie

Having been to Glastonbury for many years we are looking for a change.  Please can anyone whos been to Latitude before help me with a few questions:-

  • Thinking of arriving in a motorhome.  How far is it to walk to the main areas from the motorhome camping area
  • Is there any camping in the motorhome camping area.  My grand daughter would like to come and she would have a small tent but don't want her camping on her own
  • Food at Glastonbury is fabulous, particularly the vegetarian varieties.  Is there specific vegetarian outlets at Latitude ? I hate burgers and fast food is there a variety of food outlets selling good quality, reasonably healthy and interesting food.
  • What are the queues like for food ?
  • I see that the main arena area doesn't open to later in the morning.  Is there anywhere to get breakfast/coffee before the main areas open

Thank you for any help xx

image.thumb.png.06a4c4e68896cad10282265f5445022b.png1. We camped by where it says Red Camping and it was a 20 minute walk to the arena. If your in general campervans probably 25-30+ mins, 15-25 for family campervans

2. this document says 1 tent / 1 awning can be erected next to a campervan

https://www.latitudefestival.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Campervan-TCs-Latitude-2020.pdf

3. Food is great at latitude, lots of the popular glasto ones do both i think. you would have no issues 🙂

4. can get busy in main arena around 6-8pm for food queues but probably standard amount of festivals really up to like 20 mins perhaps

5. The Village area light blue on the map in the centre has morning entertainment, food etc. There is also a co-op here and some extra breakfast vans dotted about the camping areas (standard like baps etc, so maybe not amazing for vegetarians but theres more at the village)

hope this helps 🙂 someone who's actually done campervans at latitude can probably help you with how strict they are e.g. can you have a tent + an awning. enjoy!

Only went once really didn't care for it.

Searches every time you go in on the off chance somebody manages to sneak a drink in and not pay their extortionate prices.

Couldn't quite put my finger on it but lacks atmosphere and a tad snobby.

If you fancy a change far better options. Beautiful Days and Bearded Theory among the best and friendliest.

Yeah, having done all 3 have to agree. Far friendlier crowds at BT and BD. Latitude wasnt unfriendly, just isnt as friendly. Felt like a real trek as well...the walk from the campsite to car park nearly killed me. For a festival of that size also found the beer choice to be very poor.
