Sounds great! I live 5 minutes from the stadium and didn't manage to get in, so I'm definitely slightly jealous 🙃

Security was pretty lax and I'm sure if you had come down you would probably have got in. Entry was with the t-shirt they sent out but I saw quite a few people who didn't seem to be wearing one. There was only one security guard on the door and he wasn't really checking as people were coming in and out all night from the smoking area.

Great announcement for me! Jessie Ware, Ben Bohmer, VTSS, Luude and 2manydjs will all be on my list to see over the weekend!

Had a fantastic time at the Deewee party on Saturday. It was held in the concourse of the stadium and the brothers played two sets during the night. They had decks set up on one side and a live stage just across which hosted Asamoto, Movulango and Charlotte Adigery and Bolis Pupol. Most of those also DJ'd during the night too and we got to meet a few of them which was nice. Couldn't get too much PKP info and David and Stephen actually said they weren't sure if they were playing when we asked them 🤔😆

do you guys think that 2manydjs announcement will make Soulwax more or less likely for PKP? (asking because I attended to both shows in the same festival a couple of times, but many years ago)

I guess it gives an idea how of the tickets are selling. I expected to get Lewis Capaldi this morning to fit the line below The Killers and Florence on Sunday. Based on the actual line-up, I guess they won't put names on the same line as Billie Eilish. The other big names will go on the line below. For the Saturday, we have the 3 main names. And for the Sunday, we still gonna have a few solid names.

I start to really get hyped for a weekend ticket!

Hi, I'm thinking of doing a family trip as we're massive killers & florence fans so can't really miss this! Was just wondering how easy you reckon it would be to get to Brussels & back each day as was thinking of doing a holifest kinda thing? Or would you think it'd be worth stay somewhere closer and maybe travelling to Brussels & surrouring areas rather than travelling to the festival

Wouldn't recommend it at all tbh. Stay in Hasselt if you can. It's a great city, loads of good restaurants, cafes etc.

I would definitely not stay in Brussels and travel to the festival each day.

How easy is it to sell a Pukkelpop tickets? Ì bought one a few weeks ago but really don't think the lineup is shaping up to be worth it for the whole 3 days. Thanks!

This is the only way to sell your ticket.

An upgrade from a day ticket to a combi ticket is possible, but I don't think a downgrade from a combi ticket to a day ticket is.

MUNA, but no boygenius. Seems more and more unlikely.

Meh.

Boygenius announced for Copenhagen, Berlin and Cologne, the latter being on 16 August so still seems likely that they'll do Lowlands and/or Pukkelpop en route to their London show on Sunday 20th (MUNA are on the London show and play Pukkelpop on Saturday 19th).

Having a lot of different concerts, for all tastes, all day long and in a quite small area is the main festival strenght imho (together with Belgian beer obviously), so I always tried to enjoy the whole 3 days as much as I can. Also Hasselt is a nice city with a very nice atmosphere during those days, often including some concerts in the city center, and it's linked to the festival area by a free shuttle bus all day long. The festival ticket also include one train ticket from any of the Belgian train stations to Hasselt and way back: this allows you to visit one or two Belgian cities right before and after the festival, if you can do a 6-7 days holiday (I did it in 2019, I went to Bruges before going to Pukkelpop and then I stopped in Antwerpen on my way back, enjoying Hasselt and PKP during the festival days and everything has been very relaxing).
If hotels in Hasselt cost too much now (they raise fares during PKP and you have to move in advance to catch a good offer) and you're a family, you can maybe look for an apartment around the area and rent a car or bikes to reach the festival (or go camping if you like it).
That said, I think it's possible to travel to Brussels, Leuven or Genk every night after the concerts (check on SNCB website to be sure, don't know how many trains are there during the night), but, as the other ones said, I wouldn't do that.

Regarding PKP timings: Thursday is only evening with nice Belgian-Dutch artists; the 3 remaining days, concert start at 11 am and go on until late night; on Sunday Main Stage / Marquee area (where the biggest concerts take place) usually closes at midnight and a lot of Belgian people go back to their home right after. Other stages go on for a few hours. 99% The Killers show will end at midnight and F+TM will play an early evening set.
