After today's PKP announcement, my girlfriend and me finally decided to buy a weekend ticket for Rock En Seine instead. Nice mix of names for me and her for a good value (175€), good flights and public transports, worth a trip to Paris.

A lot of nice stuff but not the best PKP lineup for my tastes so far.

That's a shame but understand your reasons. I was hoping after they canned the Hear Hear festival that they would have a much stronger Marquee/Club line up than what they've announced so far with more established bands. Wonder how they are doing on the Combi sales. Just wonder if an incredibly weak main stage on Saturday and a main stage on Friday heavily weighted to the Billie fans will have an effect. Can't say I've seen many people saying its a strong weekend, although people have said the Friday and Sunday are strong but rarely the same group of people. Maybe they'd have been better off doing the Billie day as a separate day like RES have.  I have no idea whose buying a day ticket for that middle day!

We're still undecided as to where to go this year. A couple of decent names would get us over the line for Pukkelpop but that's a month away till any new names. Plenty of decent single days from Primavera/Mad Cool and BBK but nothing really strong over a full weekend for me. Will see what Cala Mijas throws up this week/next week and go from there.

very strange choices for the saturday. I can understand that Main Stage but I expect a solid indie Marquee in opposition (something like that night in 2017 with PJ Harvey, Interpol, Mac DeMarco and Moderat).

I get how subjective lineups can be but I’ve been so pleasantly surprised with the strength of this year’s festival.

My half time ratings would be:

Fri 7/10. Looking forward to Hannah Grace, Ferrago, M83, Amelie Lens and Billie.

Sat 9/10. Looking forward to Luude, Compact Disk Dummies, Aitch, Bombay Bicycle Club, Remi, Jessie Ware, Chase & Status, Bicep and Ben Böhmer.

Sun 9/10. Looking forward to VTSS, Dylan, The Amazons, Loyle Carner, KG&TLW, Girl In Red, Florence and The Killers.

What they’ve announced so far is more than enough for me to have a great weekend so if there’s anything like the same hit rate for the second half of the announcements then I’m going to have a hell of a time.

So it’s Easter today and we’ve been promised further name announcements once this cocoa egg filled, Jon Snow-eqsue reincarnation escapade has concluded. Who is everyone hoping to see in the next few additions?

My too (semi realistic) hopes are:

  • First Aid Kit
  • Cannons
  • Flatbush Zombies
  • Sigrid
  • Japanese Breakfast
  • L’Imperatrice

Rate the chances of each.

Sigrid played last year so 1% chance. L'Imperatice are playing Dour so are out. Flatbush Zombies aren't on tour so slim chance. Japanese Breakfast are in the US so zero chance. Cannons have no other dates apart from Coachella. First Aid Kit have a pretty packed schedule but are the best you can hope for out of your list. Sorry to disappoint 🙂

I would like to see the Walkmen, TSHA (live), Jamie XX, Idles, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Slowdive, Franc Moody, PVA to be added - all very possible given that they're all playing EU festivals the same week and have no other Belgium dates (apart from Idles, but Chokri is a fan and they were booked for the cancelled 2021 edition). Speaking of no Belgium dates, there's none for New Order on their September EU tour so that's still my number 1 (but unlikely) wish

Hey everyone!

Been reading this forum for a while and I recently decided to go to Pukkelpop this year, my first one 😍

At this point of the year I believe that you have to be looking to the other festival's line up to know what is left. I have been doing some research so here is what i think has possibilities (obv not all of this, but some artists may be in)

- Lorde: it is very unlikely since there is plenty of similar artists in the line up, specially headliners, but the fact that she is touring on august and has similar dates may be a possibility.

Christine and the queens: i believe this is a realistic possibility.

Caroline Polachek: this is more of a wish to me. But the dates can match. She is performing on sziget and flow festival, so she would be around.

Baby Queen: why not

Shygirl: I believe there has to be more rappers.

070 shake

Devo

Sam Fender

The Blessed Madonna

Also, do you guys think there is a headliner left? there is a gap between the headliners and the second row acts on sunday, and i was wondering maybe someone is missing. I dont really know how the announcements in terms of timing go here, but its kind of weird to me since im spanish and im used to a full line up announcement.

If thats the case, i think fred again could cover that spot, bc there is not too many electronic artists on sunday.

Give me your thoughts!

Welcome!

Re: the Sunday. It's been heavily hinted on the festileaks forum that Lewis Capaldi is the missing name on the 2nd line.

Can't see Lorde being announced either.

DEVO aren't available, Fred Again, CATQ and Sam Fender are at Rock Werchter, 070 Shake is at Dour. Blessed Madonna is at Core.

The other names are possible and I agree with you that there will be more rap.

Wasn't expecting any names today but we've got Macklemore, Charlie Sparks, Dry Cleaning, Kanine, Bakar and Destroy Boys.

I knew it! Said from the very start that Mackelmore would play this year. I don't mind him personally and would much rather see him than Lewis Capaldi.

Happy with Dry Cleaning.

Damn. I wanted the opposite! Not a fan of Mackelmore at all but big fan of Lewis

I'm really surprised Imagine Dragons and Lewis Capaldi aren't part of Pukkelpop this year...

Imagine Dragons are probably too expensive given the other headliners, they might not want to take a risk with Capaldi due to his recent health issues. He might have turned the booking down. Who knows.

Sunday is looking incredibly stacked now and the second line for Saturday is absolutely class. Friday has a few really good names that I’m interested in but is a definite third on the podium for me right now.

How much should i be reading in to font size and name placement on the current poster? Would I be right in thinking that Friday is missing a top row name to go alongside Billie as Sat has three up there and Fri has two? Or is the fact that the three main days now all have 3 names in big, bold type telling us that those lines are complete?

Maybe it’s me being anal about symmetry and there’s nothing to read into it but the lack of consistency in the poster design is setting my teeth on edge 😅. 1-2 on Fri, 3-0 on Sat, 2-1 on Sun 🥶

Just seen the new names!

Not a fan of Macklemore, but to be honest its fine by me, for the comments I´ve seen so far in social media seems very popular, meaning that probably will be the time of the night to explore some other concerts and hopefully they wont be very crowded 🙌

I believe that there won't be any other headliner, 3 each day seems pretty decent, but there's a lot of names on the second row on Friday that are left, at least 5 more considering last years line up (something like yo la tengo or jamie xx)

But if theres one stage less, maybe we should be expecting less names 🤷‍♀️

I think the headliners are complete and the differences in how they are being presented is just politics, i.e. showing Billie Eilish as being "more of a headliner" than Yungblud and Years & Years, while showing Killers/Florence as equal to each other.

Do you guys think we can expect one more “big” name in the dance/techno genre and one “big” name in the Hip-Hip genre? We don’t have any hip-hop at all…

i was thinking about

- Underworld

- The Chemical Brothers

- David Guetta

- Skrillex

- Jamie XX

On Hip-Hop i really don’t know what kind of names we could expect… Usually there is one big name there (last year Lil Uzi) so this year

- Lil Yachty

- Tyler, The Creator

- Little Simz

Nope, We won't get any of these names. They're way too big or don't have any shows in Europe in August or played last year (Underworld and Little Simz). And there's plenty of hip-hop/rap... Macklemore, Joji, Joost, Loyle Carner, Rema, Zwangere Guy... obviously more to come but nothing on Tyler, the Creator level.
