Crazy that Saturday has sold more than Sunday.

I think it's overall a stronger day (despite horrible stuff like Anne Marie and Limp Nizkit). Friday has the Billie effect of course, but Saturday has a lot more depth.

Plus Angele is really big in Belgium.

Do you have a combi @DDave?

Hello mate. I've not got a combi. Nothing I want to see on the Friday. If I come it'll be for at least the Sunday and probably the Saturday and I'd be bringing my 15 year old son this time so would be a different Pukkelpop than I'm used to. I need to make a decision soon really.

It maybe happened because Saturday is the indie day, but a big part of the indie crowd this year choose other festivals over PKP (Rock En Seine, Cala Mijas, Kalorama, etc.). One-day ticket at PKP costs 119€ while weekend ticket at Kalo/RES it's 170-175€...

I'll let you know about my first experience at RES.

Anyways, even if it's matching to my tastes a little less then I expected, every time I read the lineup I find a lot of diverse stuff I would enjoy. Pukkelpop is always very very much.

Looking like my ankle won't be up and running fully in time for this. I have put my ticket on the exchange service and must of had around 100 emails in 20 minutes 😂

Can you send the link to the exchange service? How can people know that your ticket is avaliable? As long as I know the exchage service is just for changing ticket names.

Final names just been released so the line up is now complete: Arrdee, RORI, Tsar B, Only the Poets and Gurriers.

Think the whole thing will sell out in advance, which is great news for the festival of course. Let's hope the weather improves in time for when it kicks off...

Latest forecast I saw was wall to wall sunshine.

Hey guys. My wife and I are super excited for our first ever Pukkelpop.

Just have a few questions if anyone would kindly oblige.

  1. I’ve noticed that food and drink vouchers aren’t available on the website any more? Is this just a case of a deadline passing or will they be back on sale before the festival? I assume they can still be bought on site just not for the advance discounted price.
  2. Can any unused tokens/vouchers be refunded after the event like the scheme they run for Werchter?
  3. I’ve purchased some beer tokens as it seemed a really good deal. Can regular food and drink tokens be used to buy beer or do you need beer specific ones?
  4. How crazy does camping get overnight in terms of noise and partying? Should we be expecting absolute bedlam or just a bit of activity? We’re in Camping Chill.

Thanks for the tips guys.

Unfortunately you can only buy food & drink tokens at discounted price on the website until 31 July, but you can also buy them at any time at the festival and the difference in price is very small: 3,25€ each on the website; 3,50€ each at the festival.

No, they cannot be refunded but, as you can buy them in any moment in group of 5 (at least it was so during the past editions), a beer costs 1 token, any food goes from 2 to 4 or 5 tokens it's really easy to manage them. They also give you up to 6 free tokens if you collect plastic cups and bring them to specific points: 20 cups 1 token.

A beer token gives you a six pack of cold beer cans that you can only get at the bar inside the camping area and drink in the camping area or elsewhere outside the festival area. With regular food and drink tokens you can eat and drink anything inside the festival area and inside the camping area.

No activity at all in the camping at nighttime.

1. The deadline for buying "cheaper" food and drink vouchers has passed, it was until July 31st. Now it will be 3.50 a piece instead of 3.25. Of course you can buy them at the festival site.

2. No

3. At the site, you can use the "normal" tokens for beer and food. I think the beer tokens you bought are for the cooled sixpack you will receive at the camping site?

4. Camping Chill used to be very noisy, but the last few years (from what I've heard) it is not that bad anymore. Lots of (very) young people over there. It's all very well organized though, it will not be "absolute bedlam". Important notice: I would suggest a camping spot not too close to the entrance of the camping site. It's more noisy up there. But even if you are at the back of the camping site, it is only a few minutes walk to the festival site.

Hi all!

Can anyone recommend a taxi company which operates in Hasselt/Genk area?

We will be staying approx 12km away from Kiewitt and will need to get to/from festival on all 3 days.

Thanks in advance!

Some friends of mine live in Genk and they usually get the train to the festival each day (the station you want is Kiewit). It's probably free and I'm sure will be fairly regular. Check here for times - link

According to the travel section on the PKP website, there's free buses running every night to loads of local places, including Genk. You want number 8 and they usually leave around 2-2:30am. I think they've moved the bus stop this time, so it's on the left (towards Hasselt) as you walk out of the festival site, but it won't be hard to find where they are as the buses will all be lined up. Just ask someone if not.

If you still want the number of a taxi firm then let me know and I'll drop my friends a message. It won't be cheap though and tbh the options I mentioned will be easy enough to use.

Someone on Festileaks has found a large map of the whole site and (as mentioned above) it looks like the buses to Hasselt will leave from the other side of the arena. The fact they now don't have to go all the way to where the other campsite was should mean the journey is a lot quicker. Think it used to take about 15 mins back in the old days when they only had one campsite so that will be a massive improvement if correct.

Just a heads up for any craft beer lovers who are staying on the Pukkelpop campsites (or anywhere else for that matter), and who want something a bit different from the standard cans of Jupiler and Maes pils.

From Thursday to Sunday, the Hop Hemel microbrewery in Hasselt is filling takeaway cans to order ("crowlers") from the 12 taps in its taproom. Don't know what's on tap at the moment (I'll find out on Wednesday evening), but I'm confident it will be more exciting than industrial pilsner... (granted, it will cost you a little bit more as well...)

The taproom is dead easy to find. It's 200m from the station in Hasselt, on the same street as you head towards the town centre.

This is just down from where we're staying so I reckon we should make it a stop off on Thursday evening (along with the traditional meet at the 'little bar on the corner' of course). We're hoping to get into Hasselt a bit earlier than normal, around 5pm or possibly even before then, so we'll have time to look around, get food and have a few beers before heading to the pre-party.

Thank you so much, you gave me one more reason to come back during the next years.

For the record, at the festival you can also drink Grimbergen Duble-Ambrée which is imho ways more exciting than industrial pilsner, especially if brewed in its glass at PKP Cafè, and it always costed 1 token as like as Maes Pils.

I'm sure our mutual friends will also be up for that. Think the taproom is open from 15.00, so easy to combine with Vanveldeke (aka the pub on the corner).

See you in a few days!

Sorry took a while to respond.

We will be staying in a fairly remote part and it does not look like there are any bus stops near by.

I got two quotes for the 6 trips to/from festival from local taxi companies. €800 and €270. Might settle for the second one as €45 per 12km isn’t too bad.

Enjoy the festival everyone!

did you consider renting a car? In Brussels airports there are a lot cheaper fares and you'd be free to move.

Hey everyone!

Last minute questions, I don't know if this has been discussed already (sorry if it has 😅)

I'll be arriving there by car, and I've seen all the parking areas that PKP has, and the price (I believe it was 22€ 4 days)

My question is: do you guys know if around the festival, in the neighbourhood, am I allowed to park? I'm ok with walking a little, or  maybe park around the Hasselt station. Maybe someone can enlight me on this, or you can tell me your experiences on arriving by car.

My other question is: will there be a shuttle from Hasselt to the festival area non-stop? Will I be able to go to Hasselt on the morning or so to buy food or whatever, or there won't be any transport for that?

Thank you guys!
