Hey does anyone know if someone with a hospitality ticket is able to apply for the PA ticket scheme ?

Very much doubt it from a read of the rules concerning PA tickets (see above link). The scheme is designed to help those with qualifying disabilities attend the festival.

Put it another way......why would a hospitality worker require a PA 🤔

its not impossible people with disabilities work in all kinds of jobs - that would be me, if  i got a hospitality ticket: a person needs to have their entrance ticket in order to apply for a pa's ticket.

I agree it's not impossible but then doesn't it become the responsibility of the employer under disability employment law 🤔

The original question was regarding Hospitality Tickets, which are just another way of attending the Festival (albeit paying more and in a fancy campsite, not regarding workers. I don't know the answer to the original question, but it's a perfectly reasonable one.

Even if it was a for someone working, in most roles at least, people with disabilities shouldn't be discriminated against. Most organisations recruiting staff at festivals will be happy to make the appropriate reasonable adjustments - I've seen first hand on multiple occasions that Oxfam for sure will arrange for a PA place if appropriate.

The infrastructure to ensure the worker can perform the job, including a PA, if required.

It's not possible for a random employer to put the infrastructure into the festival site, luckily the festival provides it via their accessibility system. I couldn't do glasto without the accessible facilities.

Since the exact circumstances of the OP are unknown and the published guidance relates only to those purchasing general admission tickets then perhaps the best recourse would be for the hospitality ticket holder to direct an enquiry through the ticket provider.

I volunteered with Oxfam this year and successfully applied for a PA ticket and stayed in the accessible campsite so they are not exclusively available to general admission tickets, the link you attached is aimed at general admission applicants. There is a separate application for crew so it's possible there is also a separate one for hospitality ticket holders.

@GlastoGary  Contact the accessible team about this, they are super helpful. accessibility@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk

Thanks everyone! I agree it’s probably best to reach out to the accessibility team for clarity on this. But I’m inclined to suspect it’s probably a no. I’ve was able to get a PA ticket with a general sale ticket last year. This year I’ll be trying the general sale but have been lucky enough to be offered a hospitality ticket through a connection as a backup if I’m unlucky. (At a much higher price) I wouldn’t be able to attend without a PA so just looking at my options before ticket sales this week. Thanks for your help all! Good luck this week!
