Not really.  The fact is we don't know yet.

Sounds more like it'll be Stuart Price calling the shots somewhere using the original tracks - and the onstage musicians that have also been confirmed, which people seem to be ignoring -  to create something in the moment.  It probably won't be just someone pressing Start on a playback.

Given the other headline prospects - Coldplay, Dua Lipa, The 1975 - Madonna doing a hits show is far and away the most exciting. Couldn't give a f**k that she won't have live drums.

I've seen Madonna and she mostly sang live. I'm sure there's lipsynch or guide vocals during bits of the nore frenetic choreography, but it doesnt hugely bother me. Billie Eilish has already done similar on the Pyramid.

Dolly's set is widely regarded as one of the best of all time despite being heavily (and expertly) lip synced for a lot of it. Heavy pre-records are just a part of any big star's shows nowadays.

Madonna probably the most famous living woman in the world and one of the best popstars ever. It'd be a huge coup for the festival to even have her agree, regardless of what she does on stage.
