I dont think so. How does that work with all her dancers and production guys?

"Here lads dont book any work in May or June, turn down a years worth of work elsewhere and any offers from other artists because were doing 2 hours in England in late June. We'll pay you 500 quid".

You’re seriously suggesting she wouldn’t play Glastonbury because the number of dancers on her tour wouldn’t fit on the stage?

We're all just guessing!  For all we know those guys might well be on a 12 month contract or a retainer.  The tour can probably afford that.

Did you see the setup? Its enormous and took months and months to put together. Theyd have to bin all that and reimagine it for one show.

Assuming they havent done it already and theres summer show planned. But these shows rarely (if ever?) are booked outdoors.

Is there any specific reason we think Liam Gallagher isn't in the running?

The dates he has just announced end just before Glastonbury. For a definitely maybe set he would be headliner size (looks like he's doing 3 o2 dates and likely there will be more announced).

He's not my cup of tea but a lot of people would tune in from a television perspective.

He's played it multiple times in oasis, beady eye and solo so you would think he would want to headline it solo.

Emily is a fan,  I've defo read her say how important oasis are to her.

I know people would think glasto should hold out for Oasis to reform but that could be a way off and even if/ when it happens there is no guarantee they would play glasto (stone roses didn't).

I don't even think a LG solo set would exclude a reformed Oasis playing anyway.

Anyway, as I say I'm not really a fan so it wouldn't bother me one way or the other but interested if anyone thinks he could be in the running. I think it makes more sense and is a more exciting booking than Coldplay again.

One last thing, I didn't know whether there is something weird about him not being able to play oasis songs on TV without Noel's permission. May have made that up,  but that would definitely rule him out.

Or…..

“After this tour you’ll have a month or so off before we do festivals and stadiums lads”.

All just guess work obvs, but mine is tinged with optimism, perhaps your view is more realistic.

Who knows?

More I think about it, can't see it being Madge. Tour is over two months before. Current stage setup is wildly unsuitable to a field in Somerset.

Elton didn't bring his touring stage set up to the Pyramid to be fair.

I think that line up of Dua, Coldplay and Madge is superb personally.

Yeah thats the only way its happening. Then its a runner.

Its not like shes one of those Americans who doesnt know what Glasto is either. She even had a London accent at one point.

I'll likely see Michael and Emily on Saturday evening so I'll deploy my secret weapon (Mrs P) to schmooze up to Michael and simply ask him if it's Madge.

Goes without saying we can rely 100% on his answer 👌

Excellent. It all hangs on Mrs P.

Would love Liam to do it over Coldplay

Name your 3 contemporary headliners please! I’ve never once heard you praise any modern artist on here, you only like talking heads. If they were headlining bet you wouldn’t complain lol.

yeah by boomers on efests

talking heads would be fresh, because they haven't headlined loads already, i don't have three names to give you, cos i'm not the boker, and i'd hope the bookers are be a more  knowledgable and imaginative than me.

Madonna hasnt headlined either and you were complaining it wasn’t contemporary yesterday. Almost like you have another bizarre agenda!
