Any rumours of any other gigs or is it just people wishing on a non-starter?

Not that I've heard of (though tbh in terms of Gaga I'm not listening closely). Doesn't she tend to do one off shows around her Vegas dates rather than big tours though?

Just checked and looks like her run is finished for the time being

Not that her Jazz & Piano show would be what people would be hoping for on El Pointo.

Radio 1 Dj's over the weekend kept going on about how Gaga is now in contention to headline.

I heard someone on there say that too. There is potential with the actors strike for her to need something concrete next summer. A jaunt where she just does festivals, similar to Taylor Swift's plan for summer 2020. No idea where they got the info from though.

That's the standard Bruce experience. It's how I got into him and countless thousands others, so not sure what OP is on about

Personal experience of dragging people along. That sort of music doesn't seem to resonate with literally anyone I know. or maybe its the 3 hour sets...

I love him, but don't want him at Glastonbury

Quite the opposite in my experience. Been to Bruce shows with maybe 30 different people over the years. Ages 15 to 70.

that set in 2009 was brilliant. I remember being really surprised at her playing the piano and talking about how much she loved festivals. Had written her off as just another pop star based on the songs. Never got chance to see her since, would like to.

Fair enough. I took newbies to Hyde Park and Murrayfield this year and they loved it.

My hero.

On the Gaga note, I've been very much on board for her having a slot for years. Absolutely got the hits to do it.

But... cannot see it as a one-off. Think it would be part of a tour.

I agree with @The Nal that Bruce could very well be the big US artist that came through.

I also think there is nothing to suggest Madonna will change her entire production for a one off low paying festival slot.

Dua Lipa - Pink - Bruce.

Can’t see Pink headlining glasto ever. Give it a few more years and her, Robbie Williams etc could do the legends slot but she won’t be headlining

If this is your idea of underwhelming I'd love to see what you'd consider a strong set. I'm not a fan of any of them but it's a damn good set of headliners.

Yep - ultimately if anyone has a problem with that, then I *really* don't think they're going to like how the festival looks in 2, 5, 10 years time.

In terms of headliners, Gaga is miles ahead of all other the other possibilities in terms of an 'exciting' act. Compared to Bruce and Madonna, she's a lightning bolt of fun; Bruce is fine, but who hasn't seen Bruce that wants to by this point?

I see the appeal of Madonna's legend status, but I'm unsure how much I'd trust the actual act to be any good
