Yes, big Bruce fan and 2009 fell flat. Wrong setlist for a Glasto crowd that wanted to sing along to Born in the USA (they had not done their research).

It fell flat for people who don't really like Bruce Springsteen other than a few hits, for fans it was a great night.

All this Bruce 2009 was rubbish is nonsense.

Bit dismissive - I don't particularly like Born in the USA but the deep cuts and lack of crowd interaction was not the one. I was far less familiar with Neil Young tbh but thought he was incredible - some headliners just 'get it' better than others.

If that happened everyone is going to say glasto went and turned itself into Big Weekend.

They aren't, they would be booking 3 fresh acts

Maybe if Big Weekend suddenly had 100+ stages.

Lets me honest though, Glastonbury don't have 100 big stages, its about 12 with the rest dotted around.

I don't think those big gaps are for rest. They are to put in a second show if the first show in places sells out.

More than likely this where he only needs and every other day option.

Reckon so.   NL to England to Belgium is tiny distances compared to other countries.

So is Cork and Dublin which also has a 3 days gap, it's up the road in comparison.

Really?, are they stages that are daytime though and you only visit post headliner time? I guess you've got genesis etc

Ripped this from a very useful @stuartbert two hats thread from 2022. Some of it will be out of date (Sonic replaced with Levels, etc...) but you get the idea. I'd say 100+ "stages" is stretching it a tad. You're not far off your dozen main stage/venue comment, to be fair.

Loads of significant stages not on there though…

Arcadia, Stonebridge, Genosys, Flying Bus, Nowhere, Glade Dome, Lonely Hearts Club, WOW, Firmly Rooted, HMS Sweet Charity, Rum Shack, Platform 23, Salon Carousel, Blind Tiger.

off the top of my head. Probably lots more!

Lonely Hearts, Wow, Glade, Hell are through the day too. I wouldn't count the stonebridge bar

The lineup says otherwise. And I didn’t say they weren’t open in the day… I was saying there is at least a dozen big stages I only visit after midnight, so claims there are only 12 big stages at Glastonbury in total are ridiculous.

Not sure why you aren’t counting Stonebridge. It hosts some of the biggest names in electronic music!
