2024 Headliners

Måneskin are so far announced as headliners for Rock Am Ring in Germany, Novarock in Austria and Rock Werchter in Belgium. Wonder what they will get at Glastonbury. I thought 17:00 at JP was a curiously low billing. As a big fan I'd love to see them sub-headlining the Pyramid.

They're a bigger deal on the continent than here, surely? Not that they'd be here after playing this year, but think the best they might hope for is third on Pyramid, and that's with another hit album under their belt.

Why do they have to come back next year.

Third down would be lovely. They will be playing a sold-out gig at Manchester Arena (21,000) next month.

I always find Manchester Arena's official capacity dubious, given it seldom gets to that figure despite sell-outs.

But if it is standing, it should easily be around the 15,000 to 16,000 mark, I'd wager.

Billy Bragg aside, how many acts have made consecutive appearances over the years, discounting guest spots and secret slots as such?

Four Tet I think has played every Glastonbury I've been to (since 2013)

I think it's lots more common with DJ's and electronic - Carl Cox has played the last 4 festivals.  Felix Dickinson has played the same slot (sunday closing) on Genosys since 2016,  Fatboy Slim... well he's all over it every year since at least 2013.

Its very easy to just turn up with a USB and play, live acts just cannot do that

I'm not sure how I forgot about Fatboy Slim, but possibly because I was thinking more of traditionalist live performers versus DJs.

Plenty of small "traditionalist live performers" play every year.

Just two examples; Seize The Day, Kangaroo Moon. There will be loads more I'm sure.

The question was about acts making appearances at consecutive festivals!
