I did a mock bill the other day and gave Green Day the honour of being "The Churnups".

Green Day into Tame Impala into Dua Lipa. Make it so.

This would be brilliant.

They're also an IOW exclusive

Foos were European exclusive to Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park though. I don’t think it’ll happen however someone mentioned it earlier that because IOW pre dates and it’d be a secret set it wouldn’t matter. To add to this Billie Joe was at Glasto in 2019 with his wife watching his sons band so I guess it depends how much he enjoyed it.

Now we need to manifest that Queen of Pop.

My success this morning was fuelled enormously by the idea that I’d just bagged a ticket to see Madonna so I’ll be fuming if it turns out she’s not even playing. Not come the weekend of course, but any time I imagine next years festival, it’s just me watching Madonna.

Can’t

Can’t see them headlining. A few years ago weren’t they third down or so on the other stage? I enjoyed it but they’re not big enough these days

They're benefitting off of a partial reunion of the current line up just now.

Their 2013 slot was around the time they were playing Glasgow and Manchester Academy. They'll be coming off the back of an arena tour come Glastonbury 2024.

That was a mega clash day. I was torn between LCD and Earth Wind and Fire and went rogue last second to stay with the crew.

It was. I tried to discount Coldplay as I’d seen them before (and at Glastonbury) but had only seen LCD once previously and never seen EW&F. So it was a choice between them. But there was a point in the evening, after underwhelming ELO and Band of Horses sets, stood in a muddy and sparsely populated Other field waiting for PJ Harvey, that I started to think of going to the Pyramid as they were the safe bet.

Coldplay looked amazing but LCD is one of my favourite ever sets on the farm so can’t complain too much.

Tbf they’ve been reunited for a good few years now and nobody really gave that much of a sh*t in the first place. Plus they’re having to co-headline arenas and still struggling to sell them.

Anyway, are they not ruled out? Sure they were in the ruled out thread but I never checked on if they were 100% out.

My go at a fan based set list for next year.

1. Higher Power

2. Adventure of a lifetime

3. Politik

4. The Scientist

5. Head full of stars

6 Paradise

7. God put a small on my face

8. In my place

9. Charlie Brown

10. Clocks

11. Shiver

12. Every tear drop is a waterfall.

13. Us against the world

14. Hymn for the weekend

15. Speed of sound

16. People of the pride

17. Yellow

18. Viva la Vida

19. Fix You.

That looks great but my worry is it’ll get hijacked by the ‘first two albums were great because sad indie boy stuff and the rest sucks because pop’ crew and we’ll finish up stood in the Pyramid field with wristbands forlornly flashing as they huddle round the piano playing High Speed and Warning Sign.

Again, Smashing Pumpkins are ruled out - they have headline shows in Luxembourg on Friday and Belgium on Sunday.

Oh yeah. They didn't have Belgium down on their website, but some googling brought it up. I stand down on that prediction then!

Yeah definitely out actually. The prices and amount of "premium tickets" etc definitely isn't helping them out. I'd personally take Weezer out of the two bands. A little hour long mid-afternoon set for them would be ideal!
