RutgerGM
The 'big US act' that Emily was talking about... couldn't that be Miley Cyrus? - She indicated earlier this year that she no longer wants to do big tours - But... she made one of the biggest and widely appreciated pop albums of this year, with a lot of big hits, and I can't imagine she won't play any gigs at all next year. If she chooses to play a few... Glastonbury is the 'go to' festival for rather unique gigs like these. - She played Glasto before 5 years ago, a positively received gig Personally I won't rule her out for one of the headline spots (especially when Dua decided to play Coachella instead of Glasto). NorthernSoul52
Bad Bunny does have as many top ten hits as Sam Fender, mind you.
CaledonianGonzo
Sam Fender is a UK stadium act. Bad Bunny could just about fill a large-ish community centre.

I love Idles but wouldn’t say that they are bigger than Sigur Ros, Suede, Hot Chip etc who have all been recent headliners in Woodsies. I actually think they would possibly be better in a tent as well. The Other stage can be so hit and miss with the atmosphere. 13 hours ago, K2SO said: No way. They're popular in a specific subculture. They've had just one of their 4 albums go to number 1, and the last only peaked at number 3. They've only spent a total of 3 weeks in the top 100 singles charts. Last time they played, they had a middle billing on Other, and haven't got much bigger since. Other headline tends to be arena stature bands, whilst Pyramid is stadium and Woodsies/Park/West Holts tend to be bigger academy/Ally Pally sized acts. Idles fit very well into just one of those categories, and it doesn't put them on Other. I think they're the big American act Emily talked about. Probably Pyramid Sunday night. Imagine the scenes. Then again, I keep saying Glastonbury will sell out. They can definitely afford to gamble. (IDLES should not be that gamble, but the point stands.) To be fair, I'd take Nick Cave and the Bad Lads as my left field headliner all day long.

Perhaps a few exceptions, I don’t think Kendrick or Billie are stadium level.. but as a general rule it works!! It would depend on the stadium and sort of run they do - Bille or Kendrick could easily do a one night show at one of the big London stadiums, or do a run of park shows and smaller stadiums such as Plymouth, Doncaster, etc - Similar to The Killers/Arctic Monkeys' recent tours

If you want to see IDLES then chances are you'll fairly easily get a ticket to see them every album cycle.

That’s what I was thinking or maybe or maybe someone like Beyoncé or Rihanna or even Mariah Carey, just to make the headliners more diverse with Dua Lipa and Coldplay. However, Beyoncé hardly ever does festivals and Rihanna just seems unlikely and Mariah just wouldn’t happen. But, I don’t think it’s Pink because Emily wouldn’t say ‘Oh my God, this is incredible’ about Pink. Or maybe it’s someone like Eminem or Billy Joel. But, realistically, it’s probably Madge. Not to say they couldn’t just do it again or move up one, but acts tend to switch stages between festivals to change things up again. Surely they’d fancy playing a packed out sweaty tent as the rock option on… well, any night.
