DLD is my favourite Nick Cave album, so when I met him I said look man, why do you do this to me? You never play this album at all!

And he said that he agrees that it's a great album, and funny, but that the Bad Seeds and Warren Ellis in particular hate playing songs from that album and want to distance themselves from it, and that it's a shame.

That’s good enough for me. Granted, Emily’s comment of a big American act giving her a call does suggest it was a last minute squeeze in to their schedule so she could well make an exception here… but I doubt it.

I think you're probably right but just throwing Gaga out there again, although will concede it feels somewhat unlikely with her acting commitments.

I'm just being facetious, Gaga would be incredible on the Pyramid. There's no doubt though, that she's bitten much of Madonna's act.

As much as the prospect of Madonna headlining would be another boost for the festival's legacy, Gaga playing weirdly excites me more.

And although Emily is better at the details than Michael, I remember when Michael incorrectly said that Neil Young was American in an interview about 2009 headliners, when he is Canadian.  They are only human and make the odd slip up.
