2024 Headliners

Given I expect she was the most expensive of those headliners, it is fascinating LDR will be effectively in that glorified "sub" slot.

But again, on the basis of being an Other headliner for Glastonbury, it fits exactly with where she should be. I don't feel her stock has dramatically risen, despite the rarity factor helping to obliterate BST with sales.

Fred Again, on the other hand... well, he was rising when he was booked to play high on Other, and this feels like the requisite leap to that position. Very much zeitgeist.

It’s probably because they don’t want Lana to go past the curfew in Reading so even if she is 30 minutes late like she was this year at Glasto, it won’t matter.

Really liking that Reading/Leeds line up. Just a shame I’m too old at 36.

😂 Exactly how me and my group of friends feel as 30 year olds but we're taking the plunge and heading back next year. Last went in 2022 and felt ancient

I think Lana and Fred will be great at Reading festival next year but yeah, I'll be 44 at that point.  No way I'm going to go to Reading festival at that age.  I would be interested to know whether anyone has recent experience going to Reading as an older music fan.  Last time I went was 2011 when Pulp/Strokes headlined and even then just did a day as my wife was pregnant.

Did a day there last year (2022) aged 40, it was fine. I mean I felt ancient compared to everyone else there but it's not there was any hassle or anything.

Yeah it's okay for a day, I've been at mid 30s and over and generally just kept my distance. I've got further in a slam dunk for example which has been similar age/crazy but i know I'm going home end of the day/weather is generally okay. I'm wondering where Paramore are going to end up this year though unless the Taylor support is their only showing. I had this as nailed on and don't see the point in them returning next year 3 years aftee the album is out as they didn't need big support slots to headline.
