Much as I love Madonna, Lana style arrogance and appalling time keeping would be a massive risk with her too.. on the celebration tour she’s been late pretty much every night, often by quite a bit.  Sometimes it’s a genuine technical issue but they can’t have a technical hitch every night.

i think it would be better for her reputation not to headline Glastonbury tbh, even though I’d love to see her there. There’s so much scope for it going wrong.

Madonna's reputation isn't that important tbh. I'd rather they take the risk than just fall back on a safe option like e.g. Muse.

She was already headline level for years. She’s forgotten more songs than many previous headliners have in their entire catalog. Glastonbury screwed up last year booking 3 lad/dad bands ahead of her.

I agree that she probably won't announce more dates / be active past April (and so - was probably never "in").

But the sales on the US tour is nothing to do with it - her appeal in the UK and especially mainland Europe is still strong. She could play at least a dozen outdoor shows in major cities across Europe and easily sell out 50k+ every night.
