2024 Headliners

Was there ever anything saying Dua Lipa was the Friday, which suggests there has been a change in nights?

Doesn't matter either way. Coldplay will headline both of the remaining nights.

Not 1 comment on this so far?

Big gig for Dua to get, I’d presumed it would have been the Friday.  Coldplay certainly seem more like a Sunday night local friendly (I know that’s not really a thing) act than the Friday.  Wonder if they’ve had to draft someone like Dave (who I believed was playing but not headlining) in as Friday.

Friday is rock night.jad been for years. Just check back on headliners. Friday tends to be the rockier night.

The Stevie rumour has come from a previous member of this parish who now posts elsewhere and has a good record on BST info.

They've not said Glastonbury but have hinted Stevie is being lined up for BST.

Gorillaz was the loudest act I have even seen on the Pyramid tbf. That bass <shudders>

Dizzee beforehand was pretty bone shaking too, brutal bass. I’m convinced they had to dial things down overnight as Saturday and Sunday weren’t on that level

Can't believe the amount of Dave chat. Yep, I guess there is a possible route of ascension there, but NO WAY this year. No chat about him anywhere apart from here.

In terms of younger homegrown options, think we've swung through Dave, Sam Fender and The 1975 as credible options because they've all either displayed impressive live draw power or topped R+L in the old-fashioned sense.

We're certainly not talking up Foals, or Gerry Cinnamon in the same mould.

Fred Again's probably in the conversation if he hadn't done  2023 - which, to me, felt like a major part of that ascension through the ranks anyway.

In terms of this year's shooting stars, there's only O-Rod for me. Dave and Sam Fender could be legit options next year and 1975 are a funny one. Will they just miss the boat? Tbf, I'd rather Pale Waves than 1975...
