Because when Glastonbury’s plans have fallen through in the past, ‘exclusives’ and other shows haven’t stopped them, e.g… Metallica in 2014 who were ‘exclusive to Sonisphere’ and The Who in 2015 who cancelled a gig in Paris to do Glastonbury. 

I’m not saying I think Green Day are playing, but I wouldn’t write it off completely based on them being ‘exclusive’ elsewhere, as it’s happened before.

Re: Robbie, i actually used to quite like him, but i made the mistake of wasting time and watch his documentary where he came across as basically a whiney little bitch.

 

however, i will say that being in that field, covered in mud in 1998 along with thousands of other people all singing Angels was one of the greatest Glastonbury moments ever... its in my personal like top 3 festival moments ever anyways.

He did say he's only playing 2 UK festivals this year, and he's only been announced for Reading & Leeds. Can't think of any others he'd be announced for now.

Other stage would be the only stage he'd headline if not Pyramid. I'd say he'd work well as a Pyramid sub.

Well for 1. He didn’t want to headline it last year so I doubt he’d suddenly do it now.  And after last year he’d be on the pyramid the next time he plays

I reckon that's a 90% lock. Only others who could feasibly do it are Stevie N and O-Rod and I think they're both much less likely

My friend’s aunt is the touring manager of Coldplay.  I saw her yesterday and I asked her about them playing Glastonbury, which  she discretely confirmed.

Always what I assumed was happening. She’ll do Glastonbury along with a bunch of other festival dates and it’s as good as confirmed by both parties already.
