Not necessarily a woman. But a third headliner that didn't tick all the boxes of white / male / guitar based / been around for over 20 years, would have been, quite frankly, significantly less boring.

I don't get that at all. It's not boring having three predominantly male acts. It's boring if there are boring acts. Some people will say that they find one or more of these boring and that's fair enough, but sex, race, age, genre has sod all to do with boring. The music and the show does. Would Taylor, Rihanna and Madonna be boring as a trio? Nope.

It's been said 100 times, but its about who's available.

Look at the other big UK Fests, IOW, Download, R+L. The only female headliner amongst all of those is Billie Eilish, who isn't headlining Glastonbury for obvious reasons. Look at the Euro fests, Werchter, Nos Alive, Mad Cool and it looks like the only other one is Lizzo, who is playing anyway.

The headliner playing field this year is just overwhelmingly white and male and there's not a lot a single festival can do about it.

Well you don't get it because you clearly haven't read what I said. My point was not just about the gender of the acts. I'd say Taylor Swift, Madonna and Rihanna would at least show more diversity in genre, race and age.

Probably busy. And the other time it happened was when she was headlining a festival. Not when GnR was doing something.

She appeared with GNR last summer at Tottenham and it didn’t coincide with her own shows at all.

It's not really that odd considering the state of this thread and these forums since the rumour started. GnR fans literally been told that they belong in the 90s and must be deaf. Mostly by one person though.
