Yeah, I remember a New Yorker or similar article a decade or so back watching Springsteen prepare for his tour and him spending the afternoon practicing 'spontaneous' knee-slides. The idea that anybody at that level is really going to go off-piste is madness. Nick Cave's foray's into the crowd are planned and considered to the nth degree. Nothing wrong with it, of course, but lets not pretend it doesn't happen. Look at The Who using guitar lines from earlier shows on the tour. There's too much money at stake, and crucially, too much conservatism amongst the ticket-buying public to allow anything genuinely chaotic. Punters would be on the blower to their lawyers and suing before they'd reached the parking lot.

Not pretending to know anything pal. I still remember you gloating and making points about the crowd crush in Brixton so I'd wind your neck in. -

As a big Muse fan, I'd be wary of seeing them at Glastonbury again because of my recent experience of seeing people headline for the second or 3rd time being far inferior to the previous gigs. Muse 2016 was nowhere near as good as 2010 for me (though not bad by any means), but I actively regret seeing Arctic Monkeys in 2023 and Coldplay in 2024 after 2013 and 2016 respectively. I just think seeing Muse with a smaller crowd of talkers would be difficult. What could they do differently? Apart from maybe utilising the lasers, fireworks etc more -

AFI I a must for me. If AFI played a different day to Green Day then I would try and find bands to see. What I've found myself in the past doing those is checking bands out and when it came it actually not being bothered and realising I've forced it a bit. Two occasions when this wasn't the case was Slam Dunk with Charlotte Sands and Maggie Lindermann but they were booked for a festival I'm more likely to attend anyway. I don't know what else AFI would be doing unless they are at Outbreak. I guess they might not even come over and they haven't appeared on the couple of lineups with Green Day. I would definitely miss Sex Pistols for then if they played like second sub. My worst case scenario is that AFI clash with Weezer. But out if this Weezer, JEW, TSSF would be alright and Skindred. I would definitely take MM playing under Korn for example too.
