Lollapalooza Paris 2023

Paris // 21-22-23 July 2023

The next edition will happen on 3 days instead of 2. They just updated their social networks and a first announcement is coming soon. Could they bring Billie Eilish back after the 2020 edition cancelled where he was announced as headliner? The fact they make it on 3 days means they have more headliners than usual. The Weeknd is out as he's playing in Paris already next Summer. Red Hot Chili Peppers?

I think 21-23 July is too late for the RHCP. Their tour legs are usually only 4 weeks long.

Indeed, already forgot they were confirmed at Pinkpop on June 18th. If they start their tour there, they could end about 4 weeks later in Paris. But yeah, seems difficult based on their tour habits.

They did play this event a few years back when it launched. I think tbf depending on the weeks it could work if their earlier dates form part of a first block then they come do this one after a break, but it depends on what they are doing. They're certainly rumoured for a ton of possible appearances in enough places.

I did like this festival when I went in 2018 but none of its more recent line-ups have appealed.

I attended the first edition in 2017, especially for RHCP and came back this year. Festival is really cool, good vibes, even if food/drinks are a bit expensive. They toured only 2 weeks at that time. Their Summer tour this year was really short with only 15 shows. If they come in Europe for 4 weeks starting around Pinkpop, it's doable. I hope not but Indochine could maybe play there as they're doing so many French festivals this Summer...

They post a few pictures today with some clues hidden but didn't get it...

I went in 2018 as well especially for Gorillaz and The Killers. Last 2 editions were not good for me but I really liked how empty it was compared to most of the other big festivals around that time like Mad Cool, Nos Alive, Bilbao BBK. I saw The Killers and Gorillaz very close to the stage without even camping for so long.

Francis Zegut mentions the RHCP for 2023. Maybe you were right eventually?

Tbf my main memory of seeing The Killers at Lollapalooza Paris 2018 was their unexpected Battle of the Bands with Nekfeu, as hinted at here...

Hope we gonna have the first announcement this week. After so much teasing, which is already very long without easy clues, it would suck to wait even more... especially after "missing" Red Hot today.

Irony being that its this Reddit post I got the Tweet I posted above from.

I'm more impressed Nekfeu saw The Killers playing Mr Brightside as a show of "You've had your fun, now its our turn" and still carried on during TK's second (and I think third?) song.

Think their French dates are Lyon and Vieilles Charrues Festival, if I'm not mistaken?

I thought they'd throw in a Lolla Paris date as well but apparently not.

Correct. And I thought they were playing at Lolla Paris but they're in UK that weekend. Too bad.

Btw, the Lolla Paris just posted a new image on their feed: the same than the last one with in color this time and saying that the waiting is almost over... Coming finally tomorrow for Sint-Nicolas? Hopefully!

Great I could help 😄 What's even more weird was that the management brought Nekfeu in 2019 as well and he closed the stage after The Strokes.

Does space between words count?
Depending on it 1-2 could be Billie_Eilish + Blur or KendrickLamar + Kygo for example.

Yeah I did remember seeing them on that bill for 2019 and being a bit bemused given the memory was fresh of them ignoring curfew limits (even if there's a defence that previous acts had overrun).
