Yeah, because everyone has just stopped getting sick now so NHS workers just sit about all day with their feet up drinking tea waiting for someone to come in. Stupid post.

Surprised by that as I’d kind of assumed they’d be disbanding soon enough anyway after they did this last round of shows. Wonder if they’ll continue beyond Slam Dunk or if they’re just gonna fulfill their commitments and then bounce. Sounds like the former but seems strange to continue the band without Matt this late in to their career, although understand the rest of the band have bills to pay and might just want to continue on.

Their statement on Facebook explicitly says they're going to release new music

"While Matt moves on, the rest of us have come out of our recent ’20 Years Casually Dressed’ anniversary tour with a renewed spark and desire to create new music together, for the first time in this lineup for many years. We’ll keep you updated on that in due course, but suffice it to say that we wouldn’t be entertaining new music if we didn’t feel the material we’re currently writing would hold up to the legacy of what we created back in the day. We hope you agree with us on that, and look forward to sharing with you next year."

Also confirmed in their statement on Facebook

"As far as Slam Dunk Festival next May, we’re very pleased to share that we’ll be joined on vocals for those shows by our excellent Welsh brother Lucas Woodland, of the wonderful Holding Absence. We’re honoured that he’s lending us his immense talents for the weekend, and know that he’ll do Matty proud. We’re stoked for what will be an incredibly exciting and unique couple of performances that weekend."

Ha I did a quick scan and clearly just blocked all of that part out. Fair enough. That’s a real shame that Matt isn’t gonna be part of it but here’s hoping they can deliver anyway. Look forward to hearing what they’ve got.

Yeah I don’t really care for them so was hoping we’d get a few more smaller bands announced

Exclusive reunion shows. Technically only Slam dunk South is that. They'll still do Trees I reckon. The wording is very specific, just means they're the first show back.
