Its as if they were surprised to win. No sense of how to do what they want. Some poor decisions and poor politics and a badly received budget. The infighting between Sue Gray and McSweeney paralysed them.Â
In their favour is s big majority and it's a long time to the next election.Â
Right, lesser known stuff I'd love to see get a slot.
Â
Nabihah Iqbal - her album Dreamer was one of my top picks of 2023. Part dream pop, part electronica, it's absolutely fantastic stuff (IMO). Think she'd be a great fit early on The Park. Suggested Track - This World Couldn't See Us
Â
Youth Sector - Brighton 5 piece, indie post-punk kind of sound. Great fun live, and really growing into their sound. Elements of Talking Heads, Devo and other odds and sods. Bass player is top notch, spiky guitars, highly recommend. Suggested Track - No Fanfare
Â
Swim School - Scottish 3-piece pop punk. Suggested Track - How It Should Be
Â
The Beths - mentioned on the down under thread, 4 piece indie from NZ. Jangly guitars, great harmonies, bittersweet lyrics. Hopefully they'll be in the UK.  Suggested Track - Little Death
Â
Nature TV - Brighton 4 piece indie, quite 70s vibe radio rock. Suggested Track - Gracie
Â
CVC - Welsh 70s inspired stoner radio rock. Suggested Track - Good Morning Vietnam
