She has black deer for that in the fallow year. Yes Black Deer very much the way forward and we can never go as well so looking forward to that. incident
Just now, Someoni said: Are they having a year off too? I don't think they've publicly confirmed anything. But from the rumblings I wouldn't expect them back any time soon.

I'll be going across the pond for my 40th to keep her happy at this rate

Skip997
What exactly is “Americana”? Is it what we used to call MOR?

AI say it the best - A genre of music that combines elements of various American music styles, such as country, blues, folk, bluegrass, and roots rock. The term was coined in the 1990s to describe the music of bands like Uncle Tupelo and Whiskeytown

Toilet Duck
Had thought Waxahatchee and MJ Lenderman would have been good shouts this year as they are in the UK in June and playing some European festivals…but now seem to be back at festivals in the US a few days before Glasto, so might unfortunately rule them both out. Maybe it’s just a quick trip back to the states as MJ at least has more European festivals later in the summer, but it looks tight for Glasto. Pity, recent albums from both are cracking. MilkyJoe
Granted it's earlier in the year but The Dead South and Father John Misty are both touring the UK next year.

Apologies for the vagueness, trying to find a way to phrase this that I'm comfortable with - I've not heard anything regarding specifics (such as money) as to why it would or wouldn't continue, just that plans to run again don't appear to be in place (at this point). Still time for things to change, but not sure they will.

SticklinchJoe
Did Billy Bragg go a bit Americana a bit back? I don't know if he still does that stuff live.

Avalon_Fields Posted yesterday at 08:06 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:06 AM Calexico, as a stripped back trio, are touring Europe Feb-April 2025, if we get some UK dates beyond that we may have a chance of Glastonbury. I think their last appearance was 2013. I’d rate them as my favourite Americana act, alongside Lucinda Williams & Emmylou Harris.

Great in 2013, very small crowd as were up against The Stones, but right choice for me!
