Ice at Sticklinch

First time staying in Sticklinch and looking at options for keeping my drinks at camp cold.

The only option I can see is spending 100+ on a cooler that will keep things cold for 5 days.

 

Id rather find a cheaper one that I can just keep refilling with ice.

 

does anyone have any tips or advice?

sticklinch isnt far from the big co-op, they were flogging bags of ice last year so im sure they will this year too - of course if its hot theyll run the risk of running out, but they top stuff up overnight.

That’s brilliant thank you! Last time I went I think the co op was near the other stage, fair distance from Worthy view where I camped.

I stayed in Sticklinch last year and you pretty much pass the co op on the way in and out each day.  Even last year when it was plenty hot they had pretty good availability and the bags are pretty cheap and big.

cider can be frozen with no real issues .

A thawed out frozen lager is better than a warm one too.

Storing tins under the tent keeps them surprisingly cold. The ground is pretty cold at night! At least it  gives them a good start to the day before the sun comes up.

I took a cool bag and a cool box last year and was in Sticklinch. Just a cheap bag and box, filled with cans, a few of those blue blocks and put some frozen water bottles on top. Beer stayed cool till the Saturday.

Freeze capri suns rather than using those blue ice blocks. Refreshing drink once thawed and you don’t have to carry them home.
