Big ground vs row mead vs kidney mead vs webbs ash

Hi all! I am going with a group of 5- we will probably have 1 big tent and another smaller tent. Wanted to know people's thoughts on the best campsites out of big ground, row mead, kidney mead and webbs ash and what sort of time we should aim to arrive to guarantee a spot in each (we will be driving) and what the best gate to enter through would be.

(Was thinking of these ones mostly because of centrality but have heard that campsites on the south west side have more of a 'party' reputation but what does that actually mean in terms of noise, friendliness between groups, space etc?)

Hi - we have camped in Kidney Mead for years - you need to arrive early to get into Big Ground or Kidney Mead - via gate B or Gate C and East car parks. A lot now arrive Tuesday night and queue to get best spots there. We normally arrive about 7.30ish and still manage to get into KM with 2x3 man tents but  all those areas it is usually full up by midday Weds now apart from small tent spots. You will be directed to what ever car park they decide so depending where you end up will determine the gate. Gate B probably is best for those areas and go Tues night and join the queue early!

In popular areas the tents are so close you can literally cuddle the person in the next tent.
