Supplies into arena

How easy is it to get drink into the arena? When we went in 2021 there was hardly any security stopping you taking crates in from the campsite. They seemed more interested that you had no open cans!

I can't properly answer the question as I wasn't there in 2022 and don't know what happened then or what's intended to happen in 2023.

But having worked on that position in 2021 - I'll just say that year shouldn't be used as indicative of anything. What happened on the ground was somewhat improvised, and changed several times throughout the Festival, I believe mainly due to them being short on security staff that year.

According to the map, there was supposed to be a proper checkpoint between Electric Ladyland and Strawberry Fields, but this was never implemented. Instead they tried to run an improvised checkpoint going into Electric Ladyland from the Campsites which didn't work very well hence the constant changes across the weekend.

Last year they searched bags - so taking cans and stuff was difficult.  Saw one guy in front who had 'hidden' 4-5 cans in his hoodie in his bag have them all confiscated. 

I use "festival pouches", couple of quid of Amazon or elsewhere to bring in spirits, just kept them in my pocket.  Let my friend carry the bag, I'd carry the pouches.  No bag, no search.
