Bath & West facilities

I seem to think I read somewhere on here that last year, at Bath & West, the on site toilets and shower facilities were open & available to us - can anyone confirm or deny it? If they were open, what are the chances of them being open again this year?

 

I'd have gone to B&W themselves but their website states "The Bath and West Showground does not handle any queries regarding Glastonbury Festival"...the official Glastonbury website simply implies that there are fresh & waste water facilities plus disposal points for toilet waste.

 

In addition to any potential toilets/showers, what other facilities were there last year? Food stalls? Bars? etc

There are two toilet/shower blocks that I know of, one near where you catch the bus to the festival and one on the other side kind of behind it (this won’t make sense but it will when you see it, if you do, in 2019 I didn’t know there was a second one, only saw it last year because of where we parked).

Both get busier and busier as the week goes on - we often had quick showers when we got back in the early hours - ballache but definitely much easier and meant more time in the morning frying bacon, meeting neighbours and talking about whose on that day not standing in a huge queue.

Facilities to empty camper van toilet cassettes is definitely by the toilet/shower block where you catch the bus. Don’t know about the other one last year as didn’t have a campervan with a loo.

There is a food truck doing your usual bacon butties and burgers etc. Can’t say what the food was like as didn’t use it, we took our own, but it had a steady trade.

Cannot rave enough about a hot shower and flushing loo but then again I am no longer the owner of a 25 year old bladder and I don’t think my back couldn’t take a week sleeping on the ground 🙈👵🤣
