Seems everyone knew it was the  Foo Fighters from the start as people were saying Dave Grohl's first band was called The Churns. Although not sure how true that was.

I saw a couple of Foos heads on Twitter saying that was rubbish

That set is gonna be insane. Like, Pulp obviously would’ve been ace and I know a lot of people are disappointed it’s not them, but Foos, in the middle of the day, on the Pyramid?! Crowd is gonna be ginormous and having an absolute rager. Feel sorry for the acts on across the rest of the site.

It's the Foo Fighters I feel sorry for, having to come on after Texas. 😬

Not a huge fan, but I reckon this will be epic. Surely Pulp can be squeezed in somewhere? Was really hoping it was Pulp.

Friday, from a personal point of view is absolutely rocking from 1pm to close 🤘

I'm told Josh Homme produced the last Royal Blood album and he co produced Humbug and was involved in AM from memory. Grohl has appeared with QOTSA and is in TCV with Homme and QOTSA are playing the Sunday. Leading me to think some sort of supergroup effort might be a possibility.

Queens of the Stone Age are playing at Cardiff Castle the Friday night

As I've said before. I'm a huge fan of both and have not seen Pulp before. The fact its Foo's is insane. What an incredibly get for the festival. The people moaning are probably the ones who say the line up looks weak this year compared to before. The fact that Dave is being put in the Chris Martin conversation is hilarious.

Not sure why you can't compare them, it's only 2 festivals since they headlined. Came on as a guest for McCartney, Chris Martin was pilloried for a similar record.

Controversial on here, but I'd prefer it if it was Coldplay.

Will probably be at the Foos because there's not much else that grabs me in that slot, bit gutted it's not Pulp.

Headlined in 2017, 6 years ago. The whole 2 fest argument goes out the window due to covid.

Personally I think the whole Chris Martin thing has been blown up too much as a meme anyway but if we must. 2011 headline, 16 headline, 17 guest, 19 guest.

Coldplay headlined 2 festivals in a shorter amount of time than Foo's are doing a secret slot.

Who did Chris Martin guest with in 2017 ? Thought it was just 2 guest appearances in 2019.

If Pulp are there wouldn't it make sense for them to be the Woodsies Friday TBA? Split the crowds as if it was anything like The Killers you'd have no chance of seeing any of the Foos before they shut off access to Woodsies?

I still think Pulp will appear. Always said Churnups was FF because they had more connections to that name, but Pulp were heavily rumoured before the first line up, Jarvis connections to the festival and perhaps one of the last times they'll play at it, and a Discord before the second drop came suggested FF AND Pulp were to be announced. As said before, Pulp wouldn't be headlining Glasto anyway so third up on Pyramid as a "secret set" never made sense as that's probably their position anyway, whereas Foos (like them or not) would headline. In the same way, we had Pulp and Radiohead (who would and have also headlined it) as secret sets a few years ago. I think Pulp at Woodsies would be worthy of being called the big secret act of the week for that stage, possibly still less of a draw than The Killers too which were done there. The Glade's tweet of "do you remember the last time" also gave me confidence Pulp would play in some capacity but not necessarily be The Churnups.

Yeah I think this could be the case. Although annoying as them two could both quite easily be a highlight of the weekend so deciding which to go to could cause a headache. Can we not just put Royal Blood there and bump Pulp into second right before fellow Sheff band AM?

He guested twice in 2019 - Stormzy and Kylie - and they also did Live at Worthy Farm. And he went viral last year playing songs in a nearby pub after going as a punter.

Absolutely no chance they’re sticking Pulp on immediately after Foos causing half the Pyramid field to head in that direction when they finish.

Besides, the Friday Woodsies TBA is Blossoms + Rick Astley (no, seriously).

I dunno.. AM haven’t exactly got stiff competition.

She really won't.

I really dunno.

AM are divisive - they're notoriously ropey live and plenty of people actually have first hand experience of seeing them and it being a bummer. And the last two albums have flatlined outside of their fanbase.

Whereas Lizzo is a guaranteed good time and will attract a lot more people out of goodwill and curiosity.  Given her presence in all the adverts at this point she's practically the face of the festival.

No.  Due to the stampede of people all heading there trying to get In

And the devisive AM sold out a country-wide stadium tour in seconds.

I'm not saying they'll have no crowd. I'm saying that Lizzo's could well be bigger.

Could it not be that the draw of Lizzo is being inflated due to the size of the crowd on West Holts?

I'm not saying she will have a small crowd either, but I'd be surprised if she pulls more than AM - especially with the reviews of the AM tour which have been universally positive. I was considering Hot Chip but now I'm definitely doing AM.
