Disabled Access Queue

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of queuing on Wednesday morning from the Accessible Parking and via the Access Arrivals Tent at the Yellow Gate? Can you just walk in or do you have to get a shuttle? Is it a shorter queue than general access or likely to be the same/longer?

We're coming with our son (8) who has ASD. He had a great time last year, except for the queues and toilets. We'd really like to get into Cockmill, as we just about managed last year and it made everything easier for him to handle (kids loos, buggy store, easy access to Kids Field etc).

Just trying to figure out whether the accessible options would be helpful for us and him or not. Any info would be great.

Thanks.

Have you already applied to use the Accessible facilities? If not this is probably no longer an option as they reopened applications after the resale only for people who got tickets in the resale but they have since closed for new applications on 19 May. More information can be found the Glastonbury website- https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/access-information/

People do wait in their cars overnight in the Accessible car park and queue from the early hours just like the other pedestrian gates. The queue is considerably shorter as only the disabled person and their PA can use this facility, the rest of the group have to go through Gate A with the exception of children who don't need a ticket. You can expect a wait of 2 to 3 hours to get in. It's a longer process than just showing your ticket and getting wrist banded. The shuttle only runs to Spring Ground, not Cockmill and yes you can walk instead.

There is a Facebook group you might find useful to join - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2447188335533099/

I hope this helps! 🙂

Was a four hour queue last year in blistering heat.

Thanks for info. I've spoken to the access team and they said they should still be able to help us.

As it's myself, my wife, and two children, I would hope they'll let us all go in through the same gate?

We arrived and queued from 7.30 at Blue Gate last year and got in around 11.30. So seems like it might be a bit quicker?

I've requested to join the group, so I'll have a read and see what people are saying.

Thanks!

The Access team will let you know if it's okay, I know they try to keep the numbers down so people can be allowed in as quickly as possible. 😀
