West car parks to blue gate

Does anyone know how to get from the west car parks to the blue gate entrance? I’m taking a friend who’s working the Wednesday morning, will be parking in west side, but she needs to enter at the blue gate.

Can she walk there? And if so does anyone know how?

Can you get her to be more specific about her arrival than Blue Gate? Blue Gate is an entrance point for Vehicles that are driving on site - so while tickets are checked at that point no wristbands are issued to the occupants. Her actual wristband will be issued somewhere else entirely, and that's what you need to factor into your plans.

Depending on the specifics of the accreditation process for her team, whether she's issued a physical ticket in advance, and in some cases what specific role she has (and there's too many combinations & variations to try to cover all of that in any detail here), it may be possible that she can enter from the West side of site which would make life a lot easier for both of you.

Trying to walk around the site is difficult at the best of times, and Wednesday morning is about the worst possible time to do it so I'd avoid that if at all possible.

Big thanks for the response. All I know is she’s working with a food stall has been told blue gate… doesn’t seem a lot to go on unfortunately. Sure we’ll work it out though.

In which case, she should be issued a physical Markets ticket - if she has this in advance, she can enter via any pedestrian gate. If she doesn't have this in advance, she'll need to arrange with the stall for them to get it to her before she can enter site.

Either way, I still reckon Blue Gate is a red herring here - that's probably the instruction that the Festival have given the stallholder as to how they should bring the stall itself and any related deliveries onto site.

You’re absolutely spot on. She’s just been told she has a ticket and to enter via any PG. Which makes both our lives a lot easier. The blue gate was for the stall entering the day before. All info was just quite last minute.
