I've one.  You take a shot of Kraken Spiced Rum, and delicately blend it with another short of Kraken Spiced Rum.  Then drink it.  You're welcome.

You try this with the caffeine version that they have released, absolute rocket fuel!

Must have missed that.  I'll be hitting Morrisons on the way home then!

The black cherry one's not bad either, if a bit too sweet.

I recently had a big night out on Mojitos but foolishly slipped in Jager bombs at some point (it's bit of a blur).

Unintended consequence is that I'm now struggling with rum based drinks and Jager is a absolute no-no.

Fortunately Cuba Libre is still palatable, so I'll be wandering with 3yr old Havana Club in a hip flask.

Back at the van, it's baby Guinness all the way. 2pts Kahlua (rum based) 1pt Baileys.

Like eating a Thorntons, drinking an espresso and having a shot all at the same time.

Works just as well in the morning as in the evening....

I have a litre of white rum and half a litre of lime juice. I'll pre-mix before departure and add some mint. I'll take some sugar separately.

If I can find some fizzy water for sale, it's Mojitos. If not, but there's ginger beer then it's Dark and Stormy time.

Spiced rum and apple juice for the win. Holds up against the heat and the natural sugar in the apple juice helps stave off the next day hang over....either that or you are having an indulgent toffee apple drink with your brekkie!

I might just give this a go.  Cheers for the tip.

Left it too late to start any infusions this year, so considering taking rum. Don't fancy dragging a ton of mixer cans around with me though - has anyone got any great rum cocktail recipes, preferably ones that can cope without being refrigerated all day?

Disagree - I started last week and added marshmallows to rum (unknown spiced rum that was already in a plastic bottle 😄), pretty much dissolved in 1-2 days (I'm still shaking it but only because it keeps reforming at the bottom of the lucozade bottle).  Rooted through the garage for other bits to add to it, so it's been topped up with the end of a bottle of Kahlua and some whiskey.  No idea if Rum, Whiskey, Marshmallow & Kahlua constitutes an already existing cocktail?  Either way I'll be topping it off with some strong coffee and hopefully it keeps me going on Wednesday assuming I arrive knackered.

Dropped a pack of humbugs into some gin & vodka too - dissolved pretty much overnight.

Also some chopped-up root ginger been sitting in whiskey (with the end of a bottle of Cointreau) for about a week - I guess that one does need some time.  I'll strain the ginger out soon and add some lemons (& maybe more booze).

I think the key ingredient will be continuous chewing of heartburn tablets...

I honest to God think Bumbu is the finest alcoholic creation available, it is outrageously good with Ginger Ale

It's great, isn't it? I like it neat (my plan to help get through any shows over two hours without needing to lose my place), with coke and lime, ginger beer/ale.

I might even need to get two bottles thinking about it now😆

Dark rum or spiced depending on your preference.
Cans of fiery ginger beer.
Little tupperware with some lime wedges, although I've taken in my leatherman before and sliced them as I need.

That's your basics. If you're feeling swish (which I am):

Bag of fresh mint.
Pipette or washed out sushi soy sauce bottle of angostura bitters. Makes that bad boy sing.

I've also got a small hip flask that I like to put a drop of something nicer in for a snifter on Wednesday before it all goes tits up. Got a bottle of Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros that I brought back from Cuba that I think will do quite nicely.

I had a cocktail years ago that was basically just caramel syrup, kraken spiced rum and cola. amazing for how few ingredients it had - this year I'll probably just mix the syrup and rum together and just buy some cans of coke on site.

Also seconding the ginger beer idea - fentimans ginger beer plus kraken spiced rum is god tier.

If you can, get some 'Cut to the Spice' rum - its truly delightful and can be drunk with or without mixers. About £20 a bottle on Amazon

It's on the sweet side, so make sure you've got some lime if you are going to have it with Ginger beer (not ale!!)

I've just had a bash at some rum punch. Only had Salford dark spiced rum at home and it was too dark/complex so waiting on some mount gay to retry at the weekend.

Salford makes an absolutely excellent dark and stormy.

That and rum & coke are my usual go tos but I fancied something more tropical for glasto. I'm having another try tonight unless anyone has any specific rum punch recipes they can share... I don't like it too sweet. I even bought angostura bitters and nutmeg for authenticity!
