But you are comparing something totally different i.e. the ethics of a festival inviting Arcade Fire.

I was making a totally different comparison which is the ethics of a band agreeing to play at a festival that also has Arcade Fire on the lineup alongside 100+ other acts (and as another poster pointed out, probably wasn't even aware of this when they agreed).

If Madcool don't get their act together, I'll be going to BBK essentially just to see Arcade Fire. The Cala Mijas gig was the best I've seen them, and I've seen them double digit times at this stage. Although the Wizink gig wasn't far off...Rabbit hole is a belter of an opener.

As you wish, €150 seems a bit stiff for Arcade Fire, but we are happy for you. Meanwhile there are 150 bands to discover on the Primavera lineup 😉

for me, the biggest miss from this lineup is Postal Sevice/DCFC.

Smile, LCD soundsystem and Massive Attack are all great and I wish we had them, but we will have them, if not this year then next or after. This special Give Up/Transatlanticism format is something unique that I'm not sure if we'll get again, maybe on the 30/20 anniversary

Yeah, same for me. Yet that seems to be fixed for later in the summer, hence no chance for PS whatsoever

Yeah it's a shame on the PS/DCFC tour, I'm really glad for that London date, would be gutted to miss it.

I’m keeping my eyes open on that London date too. Traveling from abroad, I hope it’s gonna be on a Saturday.

Yeah the tickets were cheap as chips. It's really no hassle at all compared to Primavera hotel prices. But if madcool pull out the stops Id prefer Madrid. That's why im holding off. I buy tickets for all the big ones most years and flip what I won't be going to.

As for the Win Butler stuff. Ive never been one for the modern kangaroo court mob mentality.

People have strong opinions of him, but I don't think most of us care whether people still go see Arcade Fire or not.

I can't help thinking that if people watching their shows are ready to overlook his actions, then they might also overlook basic concert and festival etiquette. I might be wrong, but I wouldn't feel comfortable at a festival where the band is playing. This is all made easier by the fact that they are now a very boring live band.

Have you ever seen arcade fire fans. 😃 predominantly a bunch of hipster nerds and women..  Id never feel uncomfortable or threatened around them. What do you think happened at Cala Mijas? A load of gang rapes and punch ups?

I just don't live my life in such an absolutist way. If someone is jailed for a serious offence like R Kelly or Gary Glitter then yes... "burn them at the stake".

Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, XXXtentacion, Pete Doherty, Lizzo. Where is the line with morality? One mans sexual predator is another man banging some groupies. The only thing Win Butler is 100% "guilty" of due to his confession is cheating on his wife. The rest until he is before the courts is allegations, conjecture and hyperbole.

This message has been typed up on my iPhone made in a sweatshop in china while wearing my Yeezys designed by an anti semite.

Life if lived in such a puritanical manner makes hypocrites of us all.

I said overlooking, not approving actions.

The "some rock star did worse" deflection used on Arcade Fire fan forums doesn't work at all in the outside world I'm afraid. I think you've only made my point more clear, I don't want to be part of any of that if that's the type of banter fans have at their shows.
