I shall be on site from tomorrow so will be sending live weather reports from the fields, wearing my Michael Fish outfit. And maybe even photos of the sky, if you’re very lucky.  But no photos of anything else, or I will be summarily booted off site…

Do we trust the Met Office forecast now then, looks class.

The Met Office is the most accurate forecast for the UK. The ECM is second. This isn't speculation, it's the model resolutions run over the UK. Met Office are a contributor to ECM (don't tell the Brexiteers), but it then gets averaged with the other nations.

Right. All we need now is the GFS to get inn line. Just a knuckle for the weekend will sort us. What will happen? Let's find out! 06Z time!

GATES OPEN & WEDNESDAY

Complete dry, temps of 21-22.

Highs up a notch to 25-26! This wispy rain isn't even worth mentioning.

Temps overnight into Thursday of 16-17.

THURSDAY

UPGRADE KLAXON! Completely dry, highs of 20-21. Temps slightly down, but it is dry.

Temps overnight into Friday of 10-11. Markedly cooler. Why might that be?

It's because there's a less promising pressure picture, with the low trying to push down through Thursday. Latest on the right. A technical downgrade.

FRIDAY

Totally dry, but temps down to 17-18.

Temps overnight into Saturday of 8-9!

Pretty similar pressure pictures. Latest on the right.

SATURDAY

The GFS continues to be a d*ck, with heavy spells of rain on Saturday night and evening with highs of JUST 14-15!!!!!

Temps overnight into Sunday of 13-14.

The low, latest on the right, pushes a weather front over the UK.

SUNDAY

Light showers, highs of just 16-17

Temps overnight into Monday of 9-10.

The 06Z latest (on the right) agrees with the 00Z that a nasty low will sit over the UK on Sunday,

SUMMARY

We started with a great upgrade, with all the rain gone from Wednesday and Thursday.

But the weekend is a definite downgrade with February temperatures and a wet Saturday night. That would be miserable. Sort yourself out, GFS!

48 hours ago Weds and Thurs were knife edge drenching days - now look 🙂

Met Office still remains 4 dry days to start, YR agrees, BBC more or less agrees. BBC weather just now shows dry Weds to Fri.

Give it another 48 hours to sort next weekend 🙂 Just need to delay the low coming down til Monday.

Here’s the countryfile forecast. They do one every day. Agree with the 06z low pressure but nothing too biblical rain wise.

That was last updated 20 hours ago, the new one will be out at around 4pm
