Her team are very careful how there book her, she could have sold our arenas in 2022 but she wanted small venues.

Be interesting to see her tour when it is released

Fingers crossed we’ll hear soon.  Promised I’d take my 10 year old to one of her gigs.

Thing is though, if they do get acts like Madonna or AC/DC locked for 2024 and Liv is willing to sub them then it's a double winner.

Given the choice of G&R and Lizzo double bill or Lizzo only, I'm happy with what we got.

For some I personally think Lizzo would have been even better in the dark with her full light show and a longer set and if we are serious about tackling equality it means giving some acts a chance before they are huge in the way Glasto often did in the 90's with a lot of the Britpop bands. O-Rod sub headlining another woman I am ok with but playing second fiddle to another bunch of old guys wouldn't sit comfortably at all.

That's a ridiculous take on it, she's not headliner or nothing.

She’ll inevitably headline every other festival she plays on this album cycle. Why would she take less at Glastonbury?

Can't argue with any of that.  I guess there's a very slight contention with what works best for festival optics and what works best for me personally as (hopefully) a punter.

Well we all wish we could tweak the line up especially for our tastes but think it's definitely time for some old men to play second fiddle to some of the queens we have around at the moment.

Proper shame that Emily presumably had the headliners booked in back in March and was most likely unwilling to take the risk at that stage as I really think that come September when the album explodes a lot of posters who are doubting her headline credentials will come round to it making total sense

Madonna is surely highly unlikely to have been nailed down that early. And even if she was, her schedule has now been torn up. There’ll be a gap there if the fest wants it to happen.

She won't inevitably headline every other festival she plays and headlining others does not make you a Glastonbury headliner. That's like say Biffy Clyro have headlined everything else or anyone in fact that tops IOW or TRNSMT. Lewis Capaldi was a headliner at Reading this year and took 3rd down the Glastonbury billing. She will do arenas and push to subbing the festival. If her team are clever they will take that all day long as when there is a fallow year she will be ready to push on from that.

I'm talking about international festivals, not IOW or TRNSMT lol. You're not seriously comparing Olivia Rodrigo to Biffy Clyro, right?

She's on an incredibly similar trajectory to Billie Eilish a couple of years ago. Billie wouldn't have subbed last year. It was headline or nothing for her. It'll be the same for Olivia Rodrigo next year.

Not sure I agree with this - he was due to play second last at Reading.  I know it's a separate stage, but it isn't as big as the stage that The Killers are due to play immediately afterwards.  Plus the fact that they have 6 headliners for 3 days.

On this year's lineup, Sam Fender, The Killers and Billie Eilish are Pyramid headliner equivalents.  Foals, Capaldi and Imagine Dragons are a clear step down - like Pyramid sub or Other headline-level.

So what you're telling me in then that a sub at another major festival the size of Reading still agreed to play a place lower at Glastonbury. An act that is clearly a bigger ticket seller than Royal Blood.

Did this actually cause Spotify to crash or are people talking bollocks

There is a possibility that the Charli XCX album "CRASH" caused Spotify to crash on July 2, 2023. However, there is no concrete evidence to support this claim. Some people believe that the album's popularity caused a surge in traffic to Spotify, which may have overloaded the servers and caused them to crash. Others believe that the album's release coincided with a software bug in Spotify, which caused the app to crash for some users.

If you are having trouble with Spotify crashing, you may want to try Musconvtool. Musconvtool is a free and open-source tool that allows you to convert Spotify songs to MP3 files. This means that you can download the songs to your computer and listen to them even if Spotify is not working.
