i guess lots of shows local to people expands the numbers who'll buy - i wouldn't be seen dead at a shania show, but there's plenty of acts i wouldn't travel a distance for, but would see if they were playing local (there used to be two sizable  festivals in my local park i never went to cos there was a little bit of stuff i wouldn't have minded - plus loads of filler it would be impossible to avoid.

Cyndi has more tunes though, in my opinion. They weren't too bothered about party vibes with Cat Stevens, but he was ace! I don't know what Cyndi's like live these days, mind.

Cyndi's played before and I didn't hear much about her drawing an out of the ordinary crowd. Given the over-familiarity of the rest of the line up, a genuinely rare UK festival booking like Shania will result in a rammo field. 

Not that Lauper will struggle for numbers either tbh.

I've been listening to some Shania. Even the less familiar material is big chorus, hook-filled party music. She'll entertain people.

I’m sure Shania will put on a really professional, slick and fun show. I intend to be elsewhere. I’m a big fan of traditional country music but never really taken to the commercial pop side of the genre, Garth Brooks and most acts on Country 2 Country festivals as other examples.
