I think the general thought is that Chems are due back for their usual slot. I agree with Biffy but I don't think being friends of the festival that there will be an issue giving them the sub still being an arena band. They've given Elbow sets above their stations for years.

There weren’t many there for Elbow last year but in 2019 they played The Park. Still had a really good crowd on the Pyramid in 2014 and 2011 was one of the best Pyramid sets I’ve seen with a massive crowd. Definitely on the way down now though and can’t see them ever being on the Pyramid again.

Especially now the keys player has come out as a massive TERF. good riddance

Let’s have a go at this then. Probably too many non-UK artists here who’d want too much £££ but… some pretty albums hitting their 20th anniversary next year hence the slots for Franz, Keane etc

Friday Pyramid: The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo, Alicia Keys, Phoebe Bridgers

Other: Sam Smith, Vampire Weekend

Woodsies: PJ Harvey

Park: Franz Ferdinand

WH: Kae Tempest

Saturday Pyramid: Rihanna, The National, Sigrid, Keane

Other: Bring Me the Horizon, SZA

Woodsies: Justice

Park: Bon Iver

WH: Roisin Murphy

Sunday Pyramid: Madonna, Paramore, Wet Leg, Don Henley

Other: Dave, Anne-Marie

Woodsies: Sigur Ros

Park: Michael Kiwanuka

WH: Courtney Barnett

All overlooking Madonna’s illness and that she’s cancelled her dates?

Nothing has been officially cancelled/postponed yet. Thats likely getting sorted out this week and will be announced so that everyone who has tickets for the first gigs a  couple weeks from now knows where things stand. There isnt any indication how many are getting rescheduled anyway.  Who says she wont be fine in a month. Could start it up at MSG pretty easily or even wait til LA.

I think we have to assume everything will just be put back a few months but get back on track later in the year.

I’m convinced the two female headliners that Emily was talking about for 2024 that were confirmed/almost confirmed were Rihanna and Madonna - Ri after a delay for her pregnancy, Madonna a long time want who was in the process of planning out this huge hits tour.

Justice far far too big for Woodsies!

Isn't Bon Iver too big for Park too?

Franz on Park could be busy too - surely make more sense in Woodsies

No way is Sigrid 3rd down pyramid she was like 5th on woodsies last year

No way on SZA other sub too

A lot of the placings on that prediction are way off, but Justice on Woodsies isn't unreasonable. Not much different from headlining West Holts.

Against the 1975 and BMTH it would be absolute carnage I think

When they drop the album they'll be bigger than ever by all accounts - woodsies is a step down. They'd be mad to agree to step down from WH anyway i think

Maybe

but wrong stage for them, either stick with West Holts or bump up to Other (compulsory headliner either way)

Sure but BMTH aren't gonna headline the Other anyway.

I think they'll probably headline WH again if they're back. Just don't think Woodsies is mad unreasonable, especially compared to other placings in that prediction (Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, Bon Iver, Dave...)

Also why are they gonna be bigger than ever? They haven't released anything yet, right?

Yeah they're definitely a headline or nothing type act.

Massive album on the way apparently

I wasn't detracting from the other placings, just saying that woodsies was silly

Enjoying the Justice/Underworld suggestions. Their sets in 2017/16, respectively, are some of my best memories on the farm.

I'd welcome a return for either

Fair chance of at least one if not both popping up I'd say

I'd be very happy with either.

Would love to see Underworld with Iggy Pop doing the Teatime Dub Encounters

    • When it comes to air travel, flexibility is one of the most valued aspects, especially for those booking flights well in advance or with uncertain schedules. For travelers flying in Virgin Atlantic’s Premium Economy, the Flex Fare option provides just that – a more adaptable and comfortable journey. It is designed to cater to those who may need changes to their itinerary or are seeking added convenience when flying. In this blog, we’ll dive deep into what the Virgin Atlantic Flex Fare is, what it includes, and why it could be the perfect choice for your next Premium Economy flight. What is the Virgin Atlantic Flex Fare? The Flex Fare is a ticket option available in several classes on Virgin Atlantic, including Premium Economy. As the name suggests, it offers greater flexibility compared to standard or more restrictive fare types. With a Flex Fare, you have the freedom to make changes to your flight without facing hefty penalties or losing a significant amount of your fare, making it an ideal choice for those whose travel plans may not be set in stone. Flex Fare is part of Virgin Atlantic's tiered fare system, which also includes Economy Light, Economy Classic, and Economy Delight, among others. The Flex Fare lies in the higher-end spectrum of these options, offering enhanced benefits, more perks, and fewer restrictions. Key Features of Virgin Atlantic Flex Fare in Premium Economy When booking a Flex Fare in Premium Economy, you are provided with several benefits that enhance your travel experience. These include: Free Flight Changes: One of the primary reasons travelers opt for the Flex Fare is the ability to make changes to their flight without incurring significant penalties. If you need to adjust your travel dates or destinations, Virgin Atlantic allows you to rebook your flight for a small change fee (if applicable), ensuring flexibility in your plans. Refundable Tickets: Unlike non-refundable or less flexible fare types, Flex Fare tickets in Premium Economy are refundable. If you need to cancel your trip, you can request a refund, subject to certain terms and conditions. This is particularly helpful for those whose plans might be subject to change or cancellation. Priority Check-in and Boarding: Flex Fare passengers benefit from priority check-in, which reduces the time spent at the airport and allows you to get to your gate quicker. Additionally, you’ll be among the first to board the plane, giving you extra time to settle into your Premium Economy seat and enjoy the perks before the cabin fills up. Increased Baggage Allowance: A typical Premium Economy booking already offers more generous luggage allowances compared to standard Economy tickets. But with a Flex Fare, you may also get additional checked baggage, ensuring you have ample space for your belongings without worrying about excess baggage fees. Access to Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse (if available): For those flying from select airports with access to Virgin Atlantic’s luxurious lounges, Flex Fare passengers enjoy access to the airline's Clubhouse, where they can relax, enjoy fine dining, and experience premium amenities before their flight. Higher Miles Earning Potential: With a Flex Fare, travelers often earn more Flying Club miles (Virgin Atlantic’s frequent flyer points), which can be redeemed for future flights, upgrades, or other rewards. This is a great benefit for frequent flyers who want to accumulate miles faster for additional perks down the line. Priority Security Screening: Some locations may offer priority security screening for Flex Fare passengers, ensuring a smoother, quicker process as you move through airport security. Why Choose Virgin Atlantic Flex Fare in Premium Economy? Here are a few reasons why the Flex Fare is an excellent choice for your next Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy Uncertainty in Travel Plans: Life is unpredictable, and travel plans can change at a moment’s notice. Whether you're attending a business meeting, a wedding, or a family reunion, the Flex Fare ensures that you’re not locked into a rigid itinerary. The ability to change your flight with minimal hassle makes it an ideal option for those who might need to adjust plans closer to departure. Peace of Mind: Having the option to cancel or change your flight without heavy penalties brings peace of mind. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for business travelers or those booking far in advance, as it allows them to adapt to any last-minute changes in their schedules. Comfort and Added Perks: While Premium Economy is already a step up from regular Economy, the Flex Fare enhances that experience even more. With priority check-in, increased baggage allowance, and additional privileges such as access to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, travelers can enjoy an elevated and stress-free journey. Ideal for Long-Haul Flights: If you’re flying long distances, such as to the US or the Caribbean, the extra comfort and flexibility of the Flex Fare can make a world of difference. Long-haul flights require careful planning, and having the freedom to adjust your travel dates and cancel if necessary is especially useful for those who want a worry-free experience. Higher Value for Frequent Flyers: Frequent travelers who are part of Virgin Atlantic’s Flying Club can make the most of the additional miles earned with a Flex Fare. Earning more points means faster access to rewards and upgrades, making it an appealing option for those who frequently travel with Virgin Atlantic. How Much Does Virgin Atlantic Flex Fare in Premium Economy Cost? While the Flex Fare provides numerous benefits, it's important to note that it comes at a premium over standard Economy tickets. The price difference can vary depending on the route, time of booking, and availability, but in general, the Flex Fare costs more than the standard Economy Classic or Economy Light fares. However, for many travelers, the added benefits—especially the ability to change or cancel flights without hefty fees—justify the price difference. If flexibility is a priority for your trip, then the extra investment in a Flex Fare might be well worth it. Conclusion Virgin Atlantic’s Flex Fare in Premium Economy is designed for travelers who value flexibility, comfort, and peace of mind. With the ability to make flight changes, cancel tickets with a refund, and enjoy numerous perks such as priority check-in, increased baggage allowance, and access to exclusive lounges, the Flex Fare ensures that your journey is as smooth as possible. If your travel plans are subject to change or if you want to ensure you have more control over your itinerary, choosing the Flex Fare in Premium Economy could be a smart investment for a stress-free travel experience. Whether you're booking a vacation or a business trip, the flexibility and added benefits of the Flex Fare could make all the difference in your journey.
    • Pretty sure there'll be a couple of big ones at the end of the month to go along with payday.
    • northernangel acting like an authority on if and when someone should tour. Thankfully it doesn't actually work like that.
    • There was a period in the middle of last season where he looked quite decent, but it did seem curious to spend a superstar budget on potential. Particularly given Atalanta seem to have reinvested the proceeds very well, having won the Europa League last season and now being Serie A leaders.    Saying that, for all that I'm not sure about if it was worth it, a striker can only be as good as the supporting infrastructure in any case and if the chance creators just aren't doing the business, they're going to feel a bit of a passenger. It's like how Haaland has looked in some games of Man City's recent malaise - barely any chances created means its not a surprise he's been struggling to score. Even if Haaland did miss a penalty against Everton.   Mason Mount being permanently injured probably doesn't help, given he would arguably be one of the players suited to the AMs in a 3-4-3 as he played in that system with Tuchel at Chelsea. But hey. We're debating the incoherence of Man Utd both on the macro level of the post-Fergie era and the micro level that is just since Ineos brought a stake. We could probably carry on until the 2025/26 thread is needed at this rate.
    • It was something looking at the Hootenanny acts in days of yore and they did seem to once be able to book quite zeitgeist of the time acts. Now, eh.   Even if it something to note quite a few people still thought it was done live. Same with Ellis-Bextor on the other side, although hers did kinda look like fun when I saw bits of it.
