Last year their first announcement was earlier, but the second was mid January. I think, followed by a price increase late January, so hoping for this week.

Last year they've announced Arctic Monkeys at the end of October, then a big batch (Florence, Chem Bros, The Blaze etc.) in mid-November and the second one (Phoenix, M83, Fever Ray, Röyksopp etc.) in mid-December. The poster came in early March, with another bunch of new names (Pavement, Róisín Murphy, Young Fathers, Arca etc.)

Judging by the number of names currently announced we're closer to the situation after the first batch last year. But counting international acts, we're way closer to the line-up after the second big announcement.

Yeah - not sure why I thought January.

This year, I'd say we're at the stage of their mid-November one (approx same number of acts, and probably 3-4 of the main headliners, but few other international non-dance acts). I had been thinking that the second announcement was a month after the first one last year (ignoring AM), so at some point my head put 2+2 together and figured second announcement in January.

Given they're already five weeks past that second big announcement for last year, you'd hope soon.

Last year we got the final lineup (bar one name) on March 1st

Still nothing. Nothing since November and still no day splits. Has anyone told them it’s taking place in July?!

Do you think Garbage are playing, they've announced tour dates and there is a BBK shaped hole

I'd say Garbage can be ruled out as otherwise they would have to play 4 days in a row.

Think my F5 button is broken. We still only have 1/3rd of the names.

Had a look at previous years and think the final poster (bar 1 or 2 additions) is always released in March so max a fortnight until we have it and including day splits.

So, BBK are organized by Last Tour, same of... Cala Mijas. Maybe the Malaga festival are in very serious risk and they are waiting to close the line up?

C'mon, be fair! Bilbao BBK's announcement literally referred to this being their 'first names' in their headline and it takes seconds to google posters of recent years and see there are more than 25 names on there. 

Plus I know how rumours can start!
