Anyone who did bar work this year - how was the new setup? My son really wants to swap from recycling to bars. I think he's completely lost his mind but there we are...

I was with WBC this year. I did 4x6 hrs shifts but some did 5 shifts and that's luck of the draw.

Camping is in Pylon Ground. Coaches drop off near gate A on Tuesday and it's a fairly short walk to the campsite. Campsite is flat.

Showers are good, composting toilets. Both cleaned regularly.

Food is OK but not spectacular. Fry up or continental in the morning plus an option to take a packed lunch (sandwich, crisps, fruit, chocolate bar) or return to camp and have an evening meal. All free.

2 drinks vouchers received after each shift that can be redeemed at the campsite bar or Bread and Roses.

Just had to do a (quite simple) H&S induction before my ticket QR codes were issued for Wilderness.

It seems like the H&S man has made changes across all of festival land, not just Glasto.

Just done mine too. Very similar to the one that GFEL stewards have had to do for a few years now.
I don’t think that it will be long before they bring it in for Oxfam

Tbh, I think Oxfam’s training is more in depth already and covers most of the same topics, and we still have briefing(s) for site specific things on top.

Had to do that last year as well, even once had an onsite briefing in addition to the Oxfam one before we were even let in the field.

I didn’t have to do the FR induction for Wilderness before, or have a H&S wristband. But that’s my only experience with FR events.

Morning guys and girls.

I've very regretfully had to cancel my Oxfam place at Beautiful Days next week so one will be coming available very soon.

These places aren't easy to come by, so I thought I'd let you know in case anyone is on the look out!
