balti-pie
I think Tom's field is the perfect spot to camp on the whole site. Its a bit sheltered from too much noise, very little passing traffic, its mega central, its easy to get to, has its own catering and with ample showers etc, the only thing i'd say would make it better would be parking right opposite Mary's gate. Tom's field has its own identity and atmosphere, i love it there -my last two years of volunteering have been on gates either side of it, so i've spent a fair bit of time there. And its perfectly right that the recycling crew have it, cos they work harder than pretty much every other group of volunteers, i'd say (and i say that as an oxfam type, i recognise that by and large we stand around for eight hours, its quite easy work!) cos they're up at 5am, returning the front of the stages back into looking great by 11am every day. I'd kind of love to be involved but the early doors starts would kill me to be honest 😄

I'm not going to turn into Cyrus from The Warriors about it all

JackP1994
Hi all, I’m sure it’s probably been answered on here before, but can’t find a straight answer anywhere! Just wondering how long it takes to walk from the Oxfield to the main gates of the festival? Also, when you finish shift, do you need to clock out back at the Oxfield area or can you head straight to the stages? Further 5 mins from Gate B to Pyramid field. When you finish your shifts you'll sign out with your supervisor at the location of your shift and you can go wherever you want.

It's the first and last place I see, and it's a beautiful spot. It has great facilities and one of the best bars on site. I'm in love with the place, tbh ❤️❤️❤️ ...I wouldn't say it's central though 😅

I think we are in same catering mate. Needless to say, I am taking my Jet Boil and a few cans of all day breakfast / meat misc in beanage.

Metaphorically in the middle if not actually in the middle. I’m waffling 🤣 I know what I mean!

Well done, have also seen some stuff with Avalon places coming from reserve lists, anecdotally they seem to be the better way in this year for resale. Thanks - here’s hoping more people get a last minute in!

Worth having a go anyway

JB3
Can you use the meal vouchers anywhere on site or only in the crew camp sites?

For recycling crew it's only at the recycling crew catering and believe same for Oxfam. Not sure about others but would imagine so
