I've filled in everthing on my profile, just need the training.

Anyone know what happens now?

I'd be stunned if they don't email you sometime tomorrow.

Sounds like there'll be a few people in the same position, so odds are either they get you onto a Zoom call over the weekend or more likely with it being last minute send you a YouTube video to watch.

Same here. I expect something will be along. They must have held back releasing places and they'll be letting everyone get their profiles completed etc

Madly confusing email from Recycling HQ just now suggesting we will all need to wear hi-vis if moving anywhere around the site until Wednesday. I think I'd better nick my fire marshal hi-vis off my work chair tomorrow just in case... what a palaver of poor communications!

Yes. Did seem a bit odd. Thankfully I have a high vis in my car boot but also think I'm given one due to the team I'm on.  Not sure when that's handed out though.

That's normal until a site has been signed off by the inspectors though isn't it?

We have never been asked or expected to wear hi-vis around site in the seven years I've been working.

People in the 'active' build sites, yes, but not volunteers wandering around and popping to crew bars!

We arrived today and had to wear hi Viz to gain entry.

It should be site wide anyway, still loads of plant and deliveries flying around, all festivals are.

Picked up a couple of hi vis myself at Screwfix earlier - as going in on Sunday not taking any chances over the sake of £4. Can always put them in the boot in case of breakdown etc anyway

A big thanks to @eFestivals for their support in helping me gain a press photography pass for Glastonbury in my volunteering role. Absolutely delighted!

That's what I would usually be doing. If you have any questions give me a shout

Last year I no one without a hi-vis was allowed to cross the production road by the pyramid by a jobsworth security. Everyone walked down to the SH crossing and there were no problems.
It looks as though they are tightening up this year because we’ve had two reminders from our team leaders about it- never had any reminders before.
I’ll have one stuffed in my pocket in case. Don’t want to miss the meet at Tow and Hitch.

I'm wondering if they're copying other festivals H&S - I was at Wilderness festival last year and before the site opened to the general ticket holders, every single person (kids included) had to wear a hi-vis on site - all the time (outside your immediate tent area.

Oxfam volunteers will be given a high viz on arrival so don't need to source one elsewhere.  If you are wearing it "off duty" you just turn it inside out.  I carry one with me so that I have it if I need it to access anywhere, but you don't need to wear it in crew bars etc.

But don't leave it behind anywhere, it will cost you!!
