Not strictly Tramliens related, but just seen Sea Girls new tour has them playing Octagon in September.

Can we assume at this point O2 Academy is never re opening and the venue is permanently closed?

Can't believe we've had zero updates since its "temporary" closure last September. At this point, I'm just assuming the whole place was built out of crumbling concrete.

Read something last week about UK Snooker and the Council looking at developing something across the road from the Crucible with a walkway across to join the two.

Can only presume that is the O2 site.

Sheffield is crying out for something like a 4K capacity venue.  Ideal would be where Cole Brothers.  Flatten that and build a multi purpose venue with bars and eateries that can be used for gigs, comedy and the Snooker.

I think City Hall might rule out the Cole Brothers/John Lewis site, but the other one would make sense being a bit of an entertainment hub already, and nothing competing if they include the O2 site. Better transport access too.

Y Not did it a couple of weeks ago. Usually they do this form immediately after the festival, so they're very early with it this year.

Just filled mine in.

Headliners - Gerry, Paul Weller, Bring me the Horizon (will not happen)

Others - Red Rum Club, Inhaler, The K's

I put New Order, Massive Attack, Groove Armada. Absolutely no chance, but it doesn't hurt to make them think outside the box 😂

Second line, Wolf Alice, The Hives, Suede... much more likely, possibly even a couple in headline slots.

I'd also be happy with a return of Peter Hook if they can't stretch to NO.

If a longer list allowed was going to add Wolf Alice and Fontaines - both these might actually be headline level based on this years sh*tshow.

App is updated for 2024 lineup

Some really big gaps in the scheduling - an hour in several places. Emphasizes how we're getting a bit short changed this year, unless they have a few more bits and pieces to add. Paolo Nutini gets 2 hours on Friday night.

Actually just tracked down last year. Was similar timings, but felt like shorter gaps as better options to choose from! Looks like no kids/family stuff this year, unless it's still to come.

Saturday is shocking. We usually get in there early(ish) but won't be going in while closer to tea-time looking at what's on. Very poor this year compared to previous years.

Absolutely nothing until The Snuts at 5pm.  I have listened to the acts on earlier and very poor.

First year I have not been buzzing for Tramlines.

The pubs of Hillsborough will make a killing Saturday afternoon.

Must be struggling to sell out. Not suprised on that lineup mind you.

TBF, they have ballots every year. The telling thing will be whether any free or discounted ones go up after. Last year Ashcroft freebies were available for ages. Expect similar for Jamie T this year.

I'm still struggling with Saturday. Just seen that Scruff of the Neck are doing free entry at Network for the Fringe. Tempted to bail after Peace and try to get in for Covasettes and Ist Ist on the way home.
