Heading Solo? Best way to prepare for tickets?

Hi there,

Hope everyone is well!

I'm trying to secure Glastonbury tickets for the first time this year (I was unsuccessful last year and it has made me even more determined this year). Unfortunately it seems most of my friends don't want to go/attend leaving me trying on my own. Reading on the forums and everywhere about tips and tricks, it seems like your best bet is to try to be apart of groups that are trying to all secure tickets to increase your chances.

Does this basically destroy my chances of trying to secure tickets? Would anyone have any advice on this?

For the initial sales you can buy up to 6 tickets a transaction, so basically anyone in a group will be 5x more likely than you to get a ticket if you're trying solo.

100% your best bet is to find a solos group, either on here or Facebook, to team up with. I think nearer the ticket date time there are even spreadsheets for ticket groups you can get involved with on here.

To be honest, if I was going to Glasto solo I would sign up as a volunteer early - you then get your ticket and additionally have the bonus of doing shifts with people/meeting more likeminded people organically in the volunteer campsites/bars etc.

Also if you can try the bus sale .... with as many departure cities as possible as options .... if you can't or don't want to join a group get as many people as possible to help you in both sales ... its purely a numbers game getting that slot when it opens ... good luck and welcome to the forum

I think a lot of my friends don't want to go through the stress of the day of ticket sales as is, even to help out, so going to keep an eye out for a solo group to join closer to the date.
