From his current set we get 60 minutes of:
Message in a Bottle
Englishman in New York
Every Little Thing She Does is Magic
If I Ever Lose My Faith in You
Fields of Gold
Shape of My Heart
So Lonely
Every Breath You Take
Roxanne

Stick him in the 2015 Paul Weller slot and everyone will have a great time. Especially the armchair brigade.

Is the Paul Weller slot partly because he was playing before The Who? I imagine Sting would take a sub slot but only if opening for someone he felt was worthy - it's not quite the same if he's subbing for Pink.

That would put him in the vicinity of the Legend Slot if Emily hadn't confirmed it's not a blerk.

Doesn't feel like there's a place for him really.

Could do the back to back legends thing they did this year, especially if the female isn't a singalong type act. While Yusuf was the official one, Blondie was the "party" one.

If he doesn't play or I don't get tickets I'm going to Delamere based on that setlist.

Sting was happy to play Sunday afternoon on the Pyramid back in the 90s. He’s no bigger now and if anything I’d guess a bit more chilled.

I wonder if he could also be on for IOW on that Friday.

Could do Friday IOW and play Glastonbury

I can't think of anything I'd miss Sting for....but then that's always the case at this point. To be honest though, he's someone I'll never see again.

Yes, he subbed because he came as a package with The Who. I'd just give him the sub if the wanted it. Pulp, Olivia and Sting would be a cracking set of subs.

He is admittedly 30 years before my time, but I have not, cannot, and do not understand the hype of Paul Weller

I got for The Jam stuff.

There wasn't a back to back slo, Blondie just had that slot.

And the year they did Barry Gibb and Chic back to back (opposite The Killers secret set)

Yes, indeed. Last time he supported Kula Shaker…

Neither of these were back to back legends.

Not officially but there often seems to be a bigger act after the "official" legend on the Sunday than maybe the equivalent on the other days (minus foo fighters obviously), or at least someone less conventional but still big like Miley Cyrus

But I do think Sting fits that sort of timing
