Well, that looks for all the world like Glastonbury and Green Man for them.

Hope by some miracle I get to see The Smile at Glastonbury but got a feeling they’re gonna end up headlining somewhere (Park?) and get caught in a clash. Didn’t get tickets to their tour due to only having seen them in ‘22 but after hearing that new song I’m now wanting another live fix.

This would constitute around glasto imo

It doesn't show they are playing a certain day but they are clearly 'touring around glasto'

Ahhh i thought you meant those dates around glasto meant they'd be elsewhere, so wouldn't be likely to play, rather than those dates were announced before the album announcement, so the chances of them playing is not new news

Take them for a Churnups type slot or secret set but nothing else.

they'd be a pretty big get for pyramid sub / other headline (crap tho)

Kings of Leon are a weird one to place these days, obviously nowhere Glastonbury headliners anymore but probably wouldn't accept lower. You'd think Reading/Leeds have moved on too, but they haven't sunk low enough yet to hit the Kendall/YNot/Victorious circuit.

Kinda leaves IOW and Latitude really.

They are getting to the Victorious size now i reckon - wouldn't be shocked if they do it in the next few years

I think they’re a headliner or nothing though which is why I say about a secret set or Churnups slot and nothing else as I think they’d want to headline if they were billed on the lineup and they’re not the one for Glasto anymore.

I feel like as long as they can sell out or sell a decent amount of tickets in arenas and headline some festivals they’d want headliner or nothing. Kinda seem like a band that only do it for the money these days as well.

Even as a Foo Fighters sceptic I'll say this for D. Grohl - he doesn't phone it in.

Can't say the same for Will This Do? and the lads.

Not a chance. KOL are so boring and I don’t think they really care either.

Ashton Gate stadium I presume? There is already a gig there on the Saturday that weekend.

Yes.

The fact there's that BS3 Live thing happening on the Saturday makes me question what I've been told a bit but the more I think about it, if they've got a stage and all the infrastructure in place already then perhaps that makes it more likely?

Should add for clarification that I have not been told anything in relation to KOL and Glastonbury.

It just puts them in the UK around festival time and given that their only currently announced UK date is on July 4th at Silverstone you'd think if my info is correct there will be more dates added around 23rd June and 4th July.

Potentially leaving a GSH...?

I've just spoken to someone else who would know, and has said that it's correct about Ashton Gate.

Saw KoL at Leeds in 2018, the only time I can recall leaving a Headline set halfway through, they weren't bad, but was bored senseless.

Having said that, playing their hits in a Churnup slot would tempt me.

They were bad at Reading as well !
