In 2011, Beyonce subbed Coldplay at TITP. She was due to do it sat Glastonbury too with Bey subbing Coldplay there too...her and her partner are good friends with Chris but Prince as usual said no.

I don't mean now.

Staggering

that TITP 2011 is probably the most stacked lineup ever

To be honest size wise he was probably there in 2019. But as you say, if Liam headlines it on material like that as well, the gloss of Oasis potentially in the future is taken off.

In 2019 he was the biggest sub the festival has probably had or will have. The only thing that would have questioned that would be if they managed to get Prince in which case Beyonce would have subbed.

He wasn't that big in 2019 - he wasn't doing giant tours nor had he headlined say R&L / Knebworth yet

He just has massive general appeal to the UK public so would always draw a big crowd i feel

he's grown massively show wise since 2019

Agent: We've been offered loads of money to do TITP

Jay Z: Cool

Agent: It's 2nd from top but they're throwing cash at us.

Jay Z: Cool

Agent: Do you want to know who's headlining?

Jay Z: Lots of cash you say? I don't care who's on after us.

Agent: It's Kasabian

Jay Z: FFS. I'm not doing it.

Or more likely...

Jay Z: Who? How much cash?

He does his own tour, sold out the cricket ground with ease and done Finsbury. I wouldn't say that unable to. Yes he's much bigger now.

Don't be surprised if he does definitely maybe this year and was asked to headlined off a new album in 2025. He wouldn't be the first act to return....I agree that would have to be more secret.

Still got 2 threads that do the same job.

Manics and Suede now playing Friday and Saturday in Llangollen and Cornwall respectively.

Leaving Sunday or a possible Other opener for Suede on the Friday?

Weezer / Smashing Pumpkins would be 2 amazing additions 🤘

He's big enough but to be honest i think they have very little interest in booking a 50 year old white bloke who's half of Oasis. So many other bands that could be given the opportunity and both him and Noel have both played so recently. Super boring choice

A couple of years ago they booked an 80 year old white bloke who was only a quarter of The Beatles 😀

You can't wait for the beatles to renuite though can you

Macca was the last chance vs Oasis's inevitable reunion eventually

Yes, I was just being silly really.

I know why it's totally different.

I've got no particular love for LG and I wouldn't die in a ditch saying he will headline next year or ever.

That having been said, I don't think that when booking an act, a festival would rule them out because they are waiting for their previous band to reform, they either want them to play or they don't. They can't predict the future.

As an aside, personally I think the chances of oasis playing glastonbury if they reform are actually relatively small as much as everyone would want them to, Noel is on record several times saying it would have to be for silly money.

I guess no one could say for sure. Definitely not a shoe in though. You would have thought the stone roses would have played when they reformed and pulp this year (although I guess there is a chance next year) same for Blur.

The reunion in general would have to be for silly money but they both have done glasto recently so would surely agree to doing it again on the bad money. they could sell out a fortnight at wembley probably, money won't be causing them headaches

Stone Roses and Pulp not the size of Oasis.

Blur played before at a reunion albeit a while ago

Yeah totally agree, I'm not saying it couldn't happen, more like, don't assume that if they reformed they would definitely play glasto because not all the acts who people think "should" play it always do,  for whatever reason.

And personally I think when they are booking acts for the coming year you would look at who is available that year (maybe next as well) rather than ruling someone out because of what might happen.

Anyway, it's all just conjecture from me, I dunno. Probably won't be LG (selfishly I hope it isn't).
